Pressure Point Fighting: A Guide to Striking Vital Points for Martial Arts and Self-Defense Review: Just get it - Excellent analysis of East/West MA/medicine overlap and how to understand the basic concepts that are common to various martial arts. This book transcends basic “how to do it” manuals and suggests how to understand what is going on in any hand-to-hand conflict. The first 60 pages should be required reading for everyone with any interest in MA. The lists in the Appendices are rare and worth studying. Overlap in point lists is implicit testimony to the validity of the points. Be very careful if you look to verify these locations - serious damage may result. The rest of the book is good, but cannot be a substitute for real world work in the system of your choice. This is not for MA beginners or hotshots. Mature practitioners with open minds will pass it on to their children. Review: good for self defence for an emergency situation - had this book years ago. a relatively simple tutorial that shows where to hit and grab for the most effect...if you don't first panic upon an attack! may disable an attacker and may work well or at least give you time to get away if you are attacked.

Very bad book
You would think that this book would guide you through the pressure points, their explanation and how to use them in fight. This book is mostly about stupid karate and its katas. Pictures are black and white and don’t show anything precise about application of pressure points. I have thrown this book to the trash bin instantly after it was delivered. Don’t buy it, it’s useless.

Contains some good knowledge
The main problem I have with this book. It babbles to much. I’m a get to point person and usually don’t care about who did what I want the point and how it effects my enemy. I figure I won’t be entirely disappointed so I give a few stars.
