These pool pump covers are a little small for irrigation pump motors but help keep most sun and rain off.

While the cover is fairly universal I feel it doesnt for exactly on the pump motor housing. Use caution in spreading the mounts when installing because most likely you will have to bend the item to fit as it is slightly undersized and the plastic could break. I dont feel that this cover could withstand even one good impact of any kind. With that being said this cover has stayed in place through torrential rain, wind, and blazing hot sun. My pump runs constantly during daylight hours and consistantly stays a neutral temperature by touch when using this cover. Without the cover and the black pump casing heats up immediately. I definitely feel that this cover is extending the life of my pump motor by keeping it cool and protecting it from the elements. I would recommend giving it a try and would get another one if this one should break.

Didnt even know about these until a pool group I was part of mentioned them. This easily fit my motor and the braces are moveable.

I bought two of these to cover my exposed pool pumps. The way they are designed, it is extremely difficult to get them to cover the motors due to the lack of proper cutouts for the power lines. Depending on how yours is clocked, or where it exits may totally prevent you from being able to use this at all. I was able to get it on one of my pumps by sliding the sides back so they missed the plug, but the location of my second one preventing installation at all without major modifications. I still have not attempted to install the second one as it is against the wall and better protected that the one I was able to install. The concept of these is great, and I believe that covering exposed pump motors will definitely extend their lives. Too bad there is not a better product on the market like this. At least not one I could find when I was looking.

It looks nice enough. The top and sides appear to be make of quality material, but only time will tell what the sun will do to the plastic. It does not even closely fit my pool pump, but I somewhat expected that since I have strayed from Hayward after 20+ years and 4 pumps. The inner braces scream "Cheap... will break easily" but I can't use them anyway since I just have the little garage sitting over my pump. I'll keep it!
