I heard myself telling someone that this is one of my favorite things, then I realized that I'd never left a review and that didn't seem right so here I am. This is one of my favorite things! I have tried every kind of back brush I've ever seen, plastic ones, loofah ones, fake plastic loofah ones, all sorts of sizes and shapes. Even those back scrubbers that look like washcloths with a handle at either end. I haven't been happy with any of them. They get slippery, they're hard to hold, they're not the right shape, and they all get moldy. I've had this one for 6 months now and I couldn't be happier with it. It doesn't get slippery because there's a fine sandpaper like texture to the handle which makes it easy to hold. It's weighty in a quality way. Somehow it seems to be exactly the right length to reach every square inch of my back and shoulders effortlessly. The bristles feel like an old fashioned baby hair brush, very soft and dense, but when lathered up and scrubbing my back it is surprisingly scrubby. It's attractive to look at. I leave it lying face down on the toilet tank when not in use, so it doesn't live in the shower full-time., and there is no sign of any mildew growing even a little bit so far. I may buy these for my whole family at Christmas time!

After 2.5 months I came back here to write a GREAT review. BUY this brand. Just to say THIS back brush works SO much better than two others I bought before in the Whole Foods bath aisle that 1) fell apart and 2) grew black mold. Those two were the "all natural" kind but actually sucked: very slippery smooth handle, sparse clusters of stiff bristles, wooden parts glued together than fell apart, and as I mentioned they both grew black mold on the wood handle and bristles. Yuck. THIS brand has high tech polymer than has shown zero signs of mold anywhere. This brand has a subtle matte surface that is not slippery even when soapy. This brand has very soft bristles but they are pressed together and form a perfect scrubbing surface for your back - so it's not really 'soft'. And it holds the soap so much better; one soaping and you can do all your back with it, and you'll see when you rinse the bristles out all the more it holds. I found another level of back brush. And I'm never going back. Buy one with confidence.

I received the brush about a week ago, and have used it several times, with good results. It is stiff enough to scrub if needed, or gentle enough to use to spread body wash, etc. The brush head is a little small, but still very useable. Seems like pretty good quality for the price.

The best thing so far (I have had it over 9 months and use daily) is that the bristles have not matted down like the cheaper brushes. The bristles are soft and overall it does the job well. 2 minor points that just were not perfect: 1) The overall size of the head is smaller than some others I have used. 2) The handle either is not as long or at a wrong angle, it is slightly hard than some other brushes to get at all spots on my back. But I would still purchase again for no other reason than the bristles have not gone bad yet.
