Roebic K-97 Liquid Main Line Cleaner with Bacteria Enzymes, Eliminates Organic Buildup in Sewer/Septic System and Protects from Clogs, Safe for Bathroom Toilet, 32 fl oz

(skip ahead to SO WITH THIS PRODUCT if you have better things to do then relive a 1980s crutchfield catalog with this review) Purchased several bottles of this Main Line Roebic to Rehab several Drains in my "new to me" c. 1969 Townhouse. Over just 2 months living here, I've noticed a lot of Plumbing Company Trucks coming and going in the condo complex. Previous owners of my unit were not exactly maintenance conscious. The place was disgustingly dirty, and I had to replace HVAC, water heater, all appliances, $10K in flooring, and a badly rotting patio fence. And then a same building neighbor told me that the drainage plumbing in our complex is not the best. It's like spaghetti in some places, and the complex installed low flow Loos years ago. Thus the plumbing trucks spotted around every week. The trucks all have bright, cartoonlike graphics so it's impossible to NOT see the trucks. SO WITH THIS PRODUCT, I'm Rehabbing the main drain line first. The main drain line is a shared line / shared with with a neighbor who's usually out of town for weeks at a time. It's crucial that the neighbor's gone, if I wanna ensure nobody flushes for 6 hours. So on the shared wall drain, I've been doing a 1/2 bottle in the loo, every night or every other night. That's to hopefully clean out our shared drain for 2 Bathrooms + 2 Kitchens. I usually let it sit 6-10 hours total. 1/2 bottle might seem like overkill. But 2 households using a shared line is A LOT of stress on the line over 55 years. After 1-2 treatments of 1/2 bottle per day,... I'll probably cut back to 4 treatments per bottle. IM HOPING this will help clean out our shared wall drain, and whatever's between our front doors to the main underground city sewer line. AFTER SPENDING WAY TOO MUCH TIME skimming over all the products on Amazon, Roebic seems to be the top tier or top 2-3 products. IT'S HARD TO KNOW FOR SURE what's happening inside drains you cannot see. But a good number of reviewers are saying that plumbers dig this brand as one of the few that works. I'd rather use what the plumbers use, and not have to play a plumber $300 + potential damage to walls and floors. SEPARATE FROM THIS PRODUCT, I'll be using 3 $20 bottles of Roebic soap blaster. First bottle for the kitchen drain which is kinda slow. Am I the only person who drains grease into jars? When the prior owners of your new place neglected proper maintenance, it's a good bet they never took those extra steps. Second Bottle will be for the Laundry Wall Drain. Laundry drains always back up when you don't drain into a nylon capped hose, into a separate utility sink. When I have a side sink to drain into, the nylon always clogs up within 2 weeks. THAT'S A LOT IF LINT. Third Bottle will be used on my shower, which is part of the shared drain I rehabbed first. It's been stubbornly slow and I'm hoping this will Altogether, approx $100-$120 worth of Roebic for an inaugural treatment cycle. To put my mind at ease given the brightly colored plumbing trucks drama. Hopefully I'm doing this all in the correct order. I already went through 2 bottles of the Drano for the Kitchen sink and Shower, and it didn't do enough.

OK Went through 64oz of Professional Drano, Drano Gel, and 2 Generic Brands. Nothing changed. Toilets backed up and nothing was moving. I have a 4" PVC outside the house to my Septic Tank. I can easily see water flow. Put 1/2 bottle into my shower drain, and guest shower drain. Let it sit overnight with nothing being used, NO WATER. Then this AM gave it a test, WHOOOSSHHH whatever was clogging my pipes is gone. Went to every toiled and flushed TP to I can see it come out, all 3 came out and flowed free. I think not flushing the Roebic K-97 ,and pouring it onto the shower in each bathroom and allowing it to work overnight did the trick. I sure hope I didnt jinx myself by saying amazing this product worked. Fingers crossed.

I can’t tell if it’s working but my drain is working ok. I have to recommend using only Scott Rapid Dissolving RV toilet tissue. I used to have clogging issues in the mainline but between the Roebic and this type of Scott RV tissue, I’ve not had a problem in over 5 years. If you have an older cast iron mainline, this combination will definitely help you.

Main line is our go to product for clogs! We have a lot of toilet issues with 40 year old pipes and many digestive issues, so we need it way too often 🤢 We have every tool and tried every product imaginable so I don't have to break my back each day just to be able to flush effectively. When I say I was desperate for anything to help me out, I mean I was ready to rip out every toilet and build an outhouse! All jokes aside, Main line is a quality product at an affordable price that truly unclogs and/or gets the plumbing moving again! Some reviews state that it doesn't work well, but you can't expect anything other than an auger or a plumber (who will use an auger) to get rid of large clouds. That being said, in the cases where Main line doesn't totally unclog it, it absolutely loosens it so the hard work doesn't break a hip. I definitely recommend!

great name for the product but average in results

Have to give it 1 star, since it didn't do anything. I used as directed for 4 days, before bed, on a frequent clogging toilet. No change. Have had this toilet for 15 years and it just started doing this last year. May not be this products fault it didn't work, but I can only rate off my experience. I will try another product and see what happens.

My kitchen sink and countertop was being replaced in a month. My sink drain had other ideas and was not draining. I took it apart and cleaned out the grease and black stuff. I ran a snake down 25 ft and cleaned the waste pipe several times, but kept removing the black sludge. Though I could still see black in the pipe, it was now draining, so I reassembled and then tried this product. I used 8 oz of the product to 1 gal of warm water at night. This would let it work undisturbed for at least 8 hrs. I did this for 4 nights a row. Sink was still draining well. Did it really work ?... Well fast forward 1 month when I replaced my countertop and sink. When I removed the waste plumbing of the pipe that I used this product on, it was clean. I did not see any black or grease, I saw a "white" inside the plastic waste pipe. I even ran my endoscope in the pipe to check out the results. I was amazed as it was clean. The product really worked. I will continue to use this a maintenance. It is very easy to use and can stave off a plumbers call or a dirty job.

I have been using the main line cleaner for 5 years on my old home. I use it along with the root killer and it has kept the plumber away. When I first bought my house, the plumber came twice in one year and cost a fortune to get the roots out of the pipes and stuck toilet paper. This main line cleaner helps to remove everything else and clear the pipes without damaging them. Excellent line of products that saved me thousands.

Worked where nothing else would!

２週間近く前に、ペーパーを一気に流しすぎたのが原因で 流れが滞るようになってしまいました。 （不幸中の幸いで、完全に止まってはいなかった） これはなんとかしないと・・・と思って、藁にもすがる思いで購入。 説明書き通り続けてみるも・・・実はこの商品だけでは解消されませんでした。 説明書きで”ラバーカップの併用”を勧めているように、軽度のものでないと この商品だけではどうにもならないようです。 ラバーカップを使った時に、突然凄い勢いで水が流れだしたのですが それまでのバクテリアさんの活躍で、軟化していたのではないかと思うのです。 カップだけではこうはならなかっただろうと。 解消後は、それまでの水流とは一段レベルの違ったものになっており なんやかやと付着していたカスなども一掃された印象です。 その意味では効果はあったのだろうと。 結局のところ、詰まりが発生しない使用が大事ってことですね。 いい勉強になりました。

This worked really well . We have an old farmhouse that was remodelled to include an extra bathroom, both with water saver toilets, and the basement has to flow through a pipe and then up to the septic field. So what has been happening is that the outflow because of the water saver feature, has left gunk in the mainline, add laundry residue, fibers, hair, etc, and we had a smell. So we used it in both toilets, and I put some through the washing machine. No smell in well over a month now. I bought enough to last 2 years and we also add vinegar to the wash, and that helps too.
