Love this chain!
I've used the various Stihl chains, and I've always stayed away from their "green" (RM3 and SM3) chains because they don't cut. Even their less aggressive "yellow" chain (RM) I've found disappointing, so I've been using the Stihl SM chains, which cut great, but are hard to sharpen. So, I was skeptical that this "green" chain from oregon would do the job, but at 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the genuine Stihl chains, I figured I had nothing to lose. So glad I gave this chain a chance, it cuts like a dream. Only used it once, so don't know how it will sharpen, but at this price it almost doesn't matter. Give it a shot, you'll be glad you did.I saw the review from some people saying they didn't get the pictured chain. I paid a little more for the "Sold by Amazon" version, since the 3rd party seller was out of stock, and did get the picture L74 chain.

This chain starts sharp and takes multiple sharpenings great. I'm back to buy more
This chain starts sharp and takes multiple sharpenings great. I'm back to buy more.I cut a lot of wood: standing trees to old logs, pine to oak. I go through a lot of chains on my Stihl chainsaws. For years, I bought only Stihl chains. I have officially switched to these chains for all of my chainsaw work.

Two for the price of one
I asked my local chain saw retailer their thoughts on an after market chain saw loop like this Oregan vs. an OEM for my Stihl. Frankly, they said, they all work well. I couldn’t agree more. For $11 less per chain than an OEM...I can buy two of these for the price of one. I will definitely be purchasing more of these.

Works great
Seems to work as well as Stihl chain. Fits my Stihl 261c w18” bar just fine.
