These are great brushes, they are easy to use and the packaging was very nice, great price too

I love these brushes. I use them to paint Asian style watercolor flowers and leaves. They are well made. The variety of sizes give the artist a wide range of effects. I use the largest brush to lay down my wash.

A wonderful assortment of brushes. My wife is very artistic and also does calligraphy and I gave them to her as a gift. She was thrilled and uses them constantly in her watercolor work.

Other than the big artificial bear hair brush, the set is great. The artificial bear hair brush came a little rough looking, with many hairs sticking sideways. It also doesn't hold water/paint all that great, most of it runs down. Shedding on all brushes was minimal (only one or two hairs, if any). All the other brushes work nicely.

These work beautifully with my silk paint. Holds a perfect amount of dye! Easy to reshape bristles after cleaning. I'm also not finding loose hairs as I was expecting too so that is fabulous!

Love these brushes! They are extra long and the brushes have good bounce to them. I am not using them for Chinese writing but as watercolor brushes. They came with a mat that rolls uo & ties to secure the brushes nicely and prevents the bristles from becoming mis-shapened during transport when traveling with them. They hold a lot of water and paint and are useful for painting different types of flower petals and leaves. I have seen no evidence of the bristles falling out or shedding. These are a great price for the natural hair bristles.

Works great for detail since they come to a nice sharp point. Great variety of sizes, love the thickness , takes tons of water. Very little hair loss.

Ok, so you do get a lot for your money in terms of brush quantity. However, I notice the bristles do come out quite a bit! Now, its not to say that the whole brush is going to fall apart... It just leaves a lot of bristles in the artwork and I have to keep pulling them out from the brush to make sure things are correct. It's ok as a starter set, and the value for money is ok. I would rather start with these and know what I need to look for in terms of a higher quality brush when I get more skilled. Don't expect them to be perfect, they are good though. Try it and you will be ok with it. Don't leave them in water for long periods of time either. I am sure that is why some people show all their bristles falling out.
