Nicely finished and easy to fit. I have used this with led bulbs and it is very good with smooth variation. You can program the switches for leading edge or trailing edge operation and set the maximum and minimum illumination adjustment. No buzzing or getting hot.

Having now changed over to LED lamps throughout the house, I wanted to be able to dim the main lights in the living room. The local DIY Stores are still selling dimmers that only work on the old tungsten light bulbs which shouldn't be used for LED lamps. So I purchased the Varilight Victorian Brass 2 dimmer fitting. The wiring instructions are easy to follow and once you've wired it in, you can program each dimmer to a certain degree, reagrding the maximum brightness and the minimum brightness to avoid flickering of the lamps. This is useful if you are using different wattage lamps on each dimmer.So far, its working very well and it's nice to be able to dim my lights again!

I bought this switch from you on 28-01-2016 at nearly £30. It was working fine until now. One switch won't dim any more & now there is a nasty smell coming from it. On each switch I have three 6 watt led bulbs.I have had to swop back to my old dimmer switch and change the bulbs as it may be a fire risk.Not very economical if you are having to buy a new switch every year at £30!

Although the product works fine the overall finish leaves a lot to be desired the rear edges of the plate are extremely sharp as they do not appear fo have been sanded or filed smooth .On taking the switch out of the packing it cut my finger giving a bleeding gash 4mm long.

One star less because it does not work well if you also have a separate ceiling fan which requires a different transformer. My LEDs however work very well and I do not get any strobe effect. I have used it with up to 8 x 4.5w led halogen gu10's without any issues. One star also taken off as I think it is a little pricey.
