Q: Does this have an SD card slot?

No but I bought an adapter for like 12 bucks that plugs into it. It has a sd slot, 3 usb slots, and a usb type c slot.

Q: Would this laptop be good for a child for cyber schooling?

I have become a skeptic of Samsung. Chromebook isn't the issue, Samsung is not a good choice. Phones they add too much bloatware and are only good for an anchor (small boat), smart TV and I had to buy a Roku because it became dumb, Chromebook stinks and not reliable. I will not buy another Samsung
