Over 10 years ago i was introduced to biofreeze by my therapist, treating acute areas of muscle spasm, for instance, allows those muscles to relax more quickly, improving treatment response. I've used since and tried all different packages gel tube, spay, individual packages but now i purchase this roll on for my son (hurt his leg playing basketball) so he can just apply directly from the bottle , he don't have to put on his hands and massage it,( then he has to worry about washing his hands after application).Much convenient and very easy to use. Biofreeze is a good product to consider if you are looking for an immediate and effective relief for joint pain and discomfort, and decreased the pain nearly two times more than ice.It's made of mint so it has cooling power and powerful minty scent and this scent is maybe too strong for some people (i actually like it) Biofreeze creates a cooling sensation in the area where it is applied, which replaces the painful feeling. It can cause a burning or cold sensation, which is usually mild and should lessen over time with continued use. (If this sensation causes significant discomfort, wash the skin with soap and water). Do not use this medicine on sunburned, dry, chapped, irritated, or broken skin. You can apply a thin film of Biofreeze on the skin over a painful muscle or an aching joint as many as four times a day. I have over used syndrome, tendonitis, muscle spasm and carpal tunnel so biofreeze really help me with some of my pain (of course not 100% pain free) but helps a lot. Biofreeze is good for many things, such as arthritis pain, back pain, neck, hip and leg pain, painful joints, ankle or foot pain, sports injuries, muscle soreness or strain, or shoulder and arm discomfort. I have Fibromyalgia. What most people know about "fibro" is that it triggers pain receptors so, you look healthy, but your muscles can bunch up into knots responding to these pain triggers. It hurts to have someone rub my shoulders and back who is not looking for these knots and dealing with them with slowly increased direct pressure into the middle of the knot. Frankly, most don't have the patience to give you relief. This magic solution is the next best thing. It is like a roll on deodorant. Your friend does not have to get it on their hands. I will pull my Tshirt out of the way, lay face down on a bed and ask then to coat areas not covered by my bra straps. It has a mint, eucalyptus aroma (Ben Gay but milder) and the areas will feel cool, as if an ice pack has been applied. I usually give it five minutes to "dry" before recovering with my shirt. I am able to hit tops of shoulders, neck, pain in upper arms, thighs and calves on my own. Relief begins quickly. I keep this in my purse. I use it before use of prescription medications for pain, muscle spasms, and headaches. It's worth the 10 to 15 minutes to apply and meditate/physically relax as much as possible before adding internal chemicals to the equation. Thanks to physical therapists who first introduced me to the gel version of this as I was battling back from a car crash in 1997. To get to a roll on version with easier application, faster clean up for the helper, was a major improvement. All it took was touching your eyes once without all the gel completely washed off to make you cuss like a sailor.

BIOFREEZE is a great item, and it really helps with neck, shoulder, elbow and knee pain. I usually get 24-48 hrs pain relief whenever I use it. I love this product and highly recommend it.

Biofreeze is basically the same thing as Icy-Hot. It creates a combination hot/cold feeling like other menthol products that creates a numbing sensation for any sore muscles. This product is by no means a fix it for sore muscles, it just provides some temporary relief for muscle pain. By temporary, I would say the feeling lasts about 10-15 minutes so if you are looking for longer relief you would have to reapply more product. Biofreeze in the form of this roll-on tube is convenient so you dont have to get the product on your hands and fingers and have to wash your hands afterward. If you are looking for more effective long term muscle pain relief you should probably using real icing and heat therapy or get a massage. If you want or need temporary relief for muscle pain this is a good product to have on hand.

My husband and I love using this for sore/tight muscles. We had first experienced this when we went to the chiropractor after we were in a car wreck. He used it on us to help with the pain we were having from whiplash. It helped so much that we went home and bought some for us. I especially love the roll-on type because then I don’t have to rub it on with my hand and run the risk of accidentally rubbing my eye or something and transferring some of this to a more sensitive area of the body. My back and neck especially get really knotted up sometimes, and this works wonders to both relieve the pain on contact and also help relax my muscles over time. We are on our third bottle now, and I cannot say enough about how much I love this product. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has muscle pain/aches! After a friend of a friend recommended this, I was eager to try this but was very disappointed as it didn't work any better than the products I already have as it's only 4 percent menthol and didn't offer as much cooling relief. The products I had previously been using are MaxFreeze and other similar roll-ons.
