This is a well made product. It does give a very close trim. But remember it is a trimmer, not a full size clipper.

I was pleased to see I'm not the only one here who used these for their guinea pigs! I agree these are excellent for cutting the fur of long haired guinea pigs and would presumably be perfect for other small pets as well. I used them over several years to cut the fur of my sheltie (silkie) guinea pigs and the blades remained sharp for that occasional use. Their small size and power makes them perfect for the job, and they cause guinea pigs so much less stress and have so much less potential for accidental injury than trying to use scissors. You can manoeuvre them well around delicate areas without having to worry about hurting them with the blades, and I imagine this means they'd be good for any kind of precise work. I assume they'd have no trouble whatsoever with the hair of a human either. There is a video on youtube of me cutting a guinea pig's fur with these clippers!

Much smaller in the hand than I imagined, still work well just can pull on the hair at times.Would recommend for a lock down hair cut.

I was a bit surprised when I opened the package about just how small it was, and had doubts about whether it was up to the job. However it turned out to be very good and did a better job on my hair than a similarly priced larger set of clippers. Would be ideal for travel
