Not what I expected.
To date it has been great, but haven't used all the functions to date. Used the airfryer mostly and works as an airfryer should. Cuts cooking time in half and has so many functions. Rack that holds broiler pan underneath is a neat setup, leaving more options to use more pans and cook more items at once. We'll update after we use it more, but it's a nice oven and lightweight compared to old toaster oven that caught fire. So we're happy as of now. Choose cooking style, set temp, and time then start. Easy to use. The "knocking" sound for those who don't understand science, is the heating of the sheet metal. Remember back in elementary school science class. Heating causes expansion, cooling causes contraction. It simple. The oven is a light weight sheet metal appliance. Sure they could make it thicker and use thermal insulation, but then you'd have your kitchen range oven on top of your counter. It's a counter top toaster/ air fryer oven people that cost 250.00!! For what it is, it's great. We use this several times a week at the office. We don't have the luxury of any oven in the kitchen in our whse, so this little baby gets its use. Used hundreds of times, never had any issues. Just buy quality pans to use inside.

This has been our primary oven
We moved into a fixer-upper when my husband and I got married, and the kitchen didn't come with an oven. A year later, it still doesn't have one. We really aren't in a rush at all because this toaster oven does pretty much everything we would need! I love the extra space we have in the kitchen because of it. Even though we mostly eat at home with home-cooked meals, we haven't run into many situations where we felt lacking.- it fits a 9x13 pan (though it doesn't fit my 9x13 pyrex since the handles stick out too far. I had to buy one without handles).- It (just barely) fits my 12inch cast iron pan- I've even cooked traditional sourdough bread successfully by preheating a 5-quart cast iron dutch oven in here.- the airfry function works great when you want to change things up!- We found it helpful to play around with the different functions to change how we cook any particular food item. Since it's a small oven, it cooks differently than a larger, conventional oven. So recipes will translate differently. The one food item that we've consistently had poor results with is pizza. Mini pizzas work better. But the middle is usually a lot less cooked, and it's hard to get the crust the right texture. This is probably because the temperature only reaches a high of 450 degrees. This is hot enough for most things, but pizza is an exception. I thought this might be a problem with the sourdough I'd bake as well, but I just left the temperature at 450 the entire baking time. I was happy with the results of that. One more note: this probably won't be a good solution for a long roast. The oven automatically turns off once the timer runs out of time. The timer is programmed to start at 30 minutes. This can be changed, but I haven't tried anything in here that I'd walk away from for a few hours. But my Instantpot takes care of those situations.Overall, this oven has been one of our most used items! We are very happy with how it's treated us over this past year.

Roomy, cooks like a full size oven, but smaller and more efficient
This is my 2nd Oster French Door oven. My first one wasn’t digital and didn’t have Airfry, but was convection. After several years of constant use, I thought it gave up the ghost (turns out, I’d just blown a fuse when I tried to use another appliance with a big draw on the same circuit). I read all the reviews (professional and amateur) on this and several other convection toaster ovens with Airfry. NONE of them are large enough to hold a 14 in x 10 3/4 inch full size muffin tin, except this one. There is another brand that has one similar to this Oster, but not quite as big and is known for not regulating the temperature very well, which is problematic if you want to do any baking in it.SIZESize is very important to me, because I want to be able to cook regular size meals and some fairly large ones. One of the problems I had when shopping for this item was the fact that it was difficult to ever find out interior dimensions. Additionally, as it turned out, the posted exterior dimensions were incorrect., so I have measured everything exactly for the rest of you. All measurements below are in inches. W=Wide (side to side), D=Deep (front to back), H=High (bottom to top as sits on countertop).Outside: 21 3/8 W x 17.5 D x 12 3/4 HInside: 15.5 W x 12 5/8 D (14.5 at bow out in back) x 7.5 H - See the regular wire rack. It bows out in the back to accommodate a fairly large size pizza. The height measurement is from the bottom rack to the inside top to more appropriately measure useable space (there’s space for the elements and crumb tray below what is included in this measurement). Below are the measurements of the items you see in the pictures:Muffin tin: 14 x 10 3/4 in (this is mine - didn’t come with the oven).Included Pan: 14 x 12 inAirfry grate: 15.5 x 11.5IMPROVEMENTS I LOVE1. The improvements made with this newer version is that it is digital (old one had dials) and has several pre-set cooking modes, including dehydrate and slow cook! I haven’t used all these yet, but the professional reviews I read say that the temp regulation is very accurate. Once you set the temp and time and press start, it displays “PrE” meaning that it is preheating. When the preheating is done, it beeps, turns on the interior light and the timer starts.2. The doors have always both opened just by pulling one door, but now they will stay open without holding them if you open them all they way. In all the pictures I included, I had both hands on the phone and was not holding the doors open.3. It has a light that stays on while it is cooking, so you can monitor your food as it is cooking. When the time has it expired, the oven and the light turn off automatically, which helps prevent burning your food.OTHERIt gets fairly hot on top, so you want to be sure not to things on top of it. All of the reasonably priced convection ovens (and most of the expensive ones too) get hot on the top/sides/back/front. However, according to the professional reviews, this Oster wasn’t any worse than the others and not as bad as some. This is just something to be expected.Overall, I found this to be the best one to meet my needs. When I found out that I had just blown a fuse and that my old one was still working fine, I decided to go ahead and keep the new one and gave my old one to a friend that was happy to get it.
