The good and the bad: First the bad: I have a Hydro Pro BCD and did not like this knife for mounting on the BCD. Aside from the fact that it sticks out too far in front, I had two main complaints: First, as another reviewer noted, the stupid bottle opener on the end is a real annoyance. It's edges are sharp (you could actually cut yourself on it if you rammed into it with bare skin), and since it sticks out too far, your arm is constantly coming into contact with the darn thing. It also makes the butt of the knife very uncomfortable when you want to slide it bask into the sheath. Totally unnecessary feature and detracts from the knife overall. Second, the release is placed 2/3 of the way down the sheath which makes it difficult to reach if you mount it on the left and retrieve it cross body with your right hand, in which case removing the knife becomes a two-handed operation. So, it's not great for mounting on the BCD. The good: It is lightweight compare to old-school dive knives and has a slim profile, which makes it great for mounting on the leg when you're snorkeling or warm water diving. The release is not a problem when mounted on the leg nor is the bottle opener (though still unnecessary). It lies nice and flat along your leg and is easy to retrieve. Quality of the knife itself is good, aside from the sharp edges on the butt, and it is a handy size for most applications. As with all things Scubapro, it is very expensive for what you get IMO. Four Stars.

Nice mid size knife, been diving since the 80's, this is a very good all around knife.

Slightly larger than expected but mounts perfectly on bcd so it’s not at all in the way

The knife quality is pretty good, no complaints. However, when I went to mount it to my BCD, I felt like there was no good spot due to the bottle opener. For one, I’m not sure why I am opening bottles under water, two it’s sharp at the edges and when reaching for it I kept catching the edge. I will likely give this away and buy one without a bottle opener on the hilt.
