Great Heat Resistance + Grip
Bought these gloves to use with a Kamado Joe, and I'm now using them for the grill and in the kitchen; so is my wife. These gloves fit my hands well; average size hands, average guy. And I'm glad I got the slightly longer sleeve which covers the wrist fully and a bit of the arm, especially when reaching over a hot grill or into a hot kitchen oven. The gloves are heat resistant, giving me about ten seconds handling very hot items before I begin feeling the heat. Some reviewers are disappointed with the thermal barrier they provide, but these are "heat resistant" and not "heat proof." (They are not welder's gloves.) And like most cloth and silicone gloves, you do not want to use them when wet---cause the heat will come right through the moisture. The grips built into the surface of the fingers is really a welcome feature; on the grill or in the kitchen they make the grip on grilling tools and oven pans (and countless other items) very secure. The gloves are also flexible, so they don't interfere with the motion of your fingers or your grip. No more stiff, clumsy grilling gloves; no more oven mitts. Very happy with these gloves and recommend them, indoors and outdoors.

Safe, fit and functional
Purchased fir dual purpose: kitchen baking and outdoor bbq. Gloves fit well although feel a little big (I wear men’s medium gloves). Excellent grip while moving hot pans in and out of the oven. Initially feel slight warming (oven temp 450 f). Overall, the gloves meet the need for which they were purchased. Handling hot cooking items safely and securely with the excellent silicone grippers. Would be great if they came in a smaller size for smaller hands (my wife says they are too big for her to feel comfortable about having a good grip).

Good for an oven mitt replacement
My current kitchen mitts were old and thinning. I couldn't remove a dish or pan from the oven without the heat coming through the mitts very quickly. I purchased these gloves because they were heat resistant up to 932 degrees and they got good reviews. They work great for taking dishes or plates out of the oven but if you hold them for too long, the heat will actually start to come through the glove. The heat is not to the point that you would burn your hand, but hot enough. I notice this more when I am removing my cast iron pan from the oven or cleaning my cast iron pan while it is still hot. Overall, these gloves are definitely more heat resistant than basic oven mitts but can still get hot if you hold a cast iron pan or hot dish coming out of the oven for too long.

These ain't your Momma's Baking Mits
These are a must have for any serious barbecuist/home "Chef di' Cuisine". You can hold the Rings of Power fresh out the foundry in Eregion and still not get burned. I made a Peking Duck on the Rotisserie this weekend and pulled it right out of the Barbecue and didn't really notice the heat at all. I'm not saying these ought to be standard issue Firefighting cloves but they served me well. Of course... I had already burnt my finger because I forgot I purchased them. Which is like a typical thing to do on a Sunday after your team gets stomped AGAIN and you've had a few cocktails and you're making Peking dunk while enjoying some consolation cocktails. But once I put these gloves on I forgot all my worries... It was if I dipped myself in magic waters. If you're still reading this.. well then you deserve to know... so far these have been a quality item and I've enjoyed using them. They're a little stiff at first but once you move them around a little bit they fit well to your hands and are much safer than traditional oven mitts. If you're going to be out on the grill you got own something like this... particularly if you're using a rotisserie. I'd imagine they'd make a pretty good gift.

Great protective mitts!
Have been using these almost a year and they are exactly as advertised. Often used to hold cast iron pots that are over 450 degrees. Perfect protection, good fit.

Decent for small quick things
They are good and useful for quick things but he absorbs after a short period of time and you can begin to feel it on your fingers

Super hot ovens are not a problem for these gloves!
LOVE THESE GLOVES! Easily removed two glass loaf pans and a cast iron pot from a 450 degree oven and felt absolutely no heat. I have small hands and was concerned that the gloves would be too big, but that was not the case at all. The gloves comfortably hugged my fingers allowing me to safely grip the hot items. Gloves also fit my husband’s hands with no problem. Bakers - these gloves are a ‘must-have’!

These gloves actually work, great for camping!!
I've gone camping countless times, and always had to deal with the pain of keeping your hands over the open flame for too long. These gloves make campfire cooking or just adjusting the fire a breeze. Even leaving my hands over the fire for an amount of time I know would be impossible to do without the gloves, the most that happened was my hand got a little warm...that's it! I have used them on one camping trip so far for 4 days/3 nights, with almost constant campfires going. The gloves showed no signs of melting or damage. They held up just fine and look like they would last for a good amount of time before having to be replaced. I do recommend the longer version, if for nothing else than knowing you aren't going to be making your arm hair crispy! lol Overall these are definitely worth the price for even one camping trip. I don't know how I got by without them before. If I had to find something to complain about, I'd say why do I have to look like Spiderman? Would have preferred just plain black, but camping isn't exactly a runway fashion show event, so who cares... right?
