I bought this because of the raving reviews, don't believe them. I have no idea how this piece of garbage got 4 and a half stars. It "kinda" fits in the Window, that's about it. It flexes as if made of stiff rubber, it's own attachment falls out at the slightest glance (terrible since its for you know a portable AC that's on WHEELS), it's white. Avoid this piece of garbage cash grab that prolly cost them actual CHANGE to make so they can gouge your money. My recommendation, just take some measurements, buy a piece of junk wood, cut it out, cut out a circle, and put it in the window. Easy. Another piece of crud that will just end up in a landfill somewhere. Because it is flexible, it can bend and popup. Installation was ok, I will give them that but because there is only like half a centimeter, anyone with a window that overlaps the darn thing will have issues (like me).

Way too short for the sliding doors. Max is 5 foot. Wobbly, flimsy. Adapter pops off when even touched. Had to add a piece of a old kit l had, use duct tape where pieces overlap to stabilize and to keep hose in adapter and adapter in unit. More duct tape needed to keep unit in door. Don't waste your money

This 6" wide portable A/C window kit is better designed and stiffer than those plentiful (and cheap) 4" versions. However, the adapter to a 6" exhaust hose is flimsy and I found it necessary to reinforce with duct tape.In spite of that deficiency, this is the best I have found so am rating it a "5 star".

I bought this for my shinco 10,000 btu portable air conditioner.The length of the plate is longer and easier to adjust than the one that came with my ac unit. The exhaust hose from my ac unit for nicely into the oval hole in this window plate. I bought some white duct tape to help hold things together, but didn't end up using it.This kit does not come with weather stripping, so you should buy that separately.Also, these plates are wider than the shinco supplied plates, so don't expect to have them link up.

I bought this product to use with a GE portable AC unit....Cons: Not exactly compatible with 5.9Inch attachments.....BUT.... it had the same width of the window vent. I traced the length and used a jigsaw to cut out the rest to fit. I had to attache it with screws but besides that, it now fit.Pros: Sturdy! Really liked the extension format of wing nuts. That was a little clunky but got it to fit right and is solid. Fits very nicely in my vertical window.I added think insulation piping and clear insulation tape all around and this works very, very well. I would give it 3.5/5 stars but I can't seem to get the 1/2 star to work. For a 5 star rating, I would suggest two different vent opening options to make it more universal and supply better insulation foam as what I received was inadequate. All in all though, it was well worth the price and the little effort I had to modify it.
