3D Touch, GIANTARM Geeetech 3D Touch Accessories Auto Level Sensor for DIY 3D Printer

So first off, the packaging is great. Very secure and nothing broken. I have 2 printers an ender 3 and ender 3 Pro. I wanted to use this on my pro as the bed is far from flat and I've always had issues with it. Out the box the leaflet of instructions is useless. It's in bad English and doesn't give you any idea as to what you need to do to install it. I have been looking online and youtube videos for assistance. I had to flash the firmware to the printer, which was easily done by downloading the right one from the creality website onto an sd card and putting it into the printer. It takes a few moments and then lights up to show its done.The wiring actually wasn't that bad after I found a website showing me where they went. I accidentally thought the black/white cable had to go into the z stop port on the board but it doesn't, it needs to go next to the red brown yellow cable. The machine then homed as it should.I had to reprint the holder for it from thingiverse and had to use 2 shims to get it to the correct height. The cable I found to be fine in length and that's been cable tied to the others. When you set the machine to home, you then have to adjust the z height to bring it down to the bed height. You take that number and input it to the z height adjustment setting under bltouch. You can then fine tune it when it starts to print in the settings.Overall now it's fitted I am a happy bunny but the instructions NEED to be better for the everyday person. I hope this helps anyone looking to buy this product.

Everything needed to mount the 3d Touch was provided in the box, including 2 different wiring kits. I was quite impressed that i didn't need to create or modify any wires to connect this to the printer!One thing that did give me trouble was the connection to the z end stop... it turns out i had to reverse the white and black wires... also i had to disconnect the z limit switch.Setting up the firmware was simple and well documented online with various video tutorials and for my printer there were some pre compiled options... it took me no time at all and again, for mt printer i didnt require any specific hardware to update the firmware. Though, if you are new to this then i recommend doing a little research.The resulting mesh values were surprisingly good... after making an initial probe of the bed and noting the values... i placed points guage shims on the bed at the probing points. All the values were within 0.034 of what i would have expected...I would say the probe its self seems a little fragile, im not sure it would survive much abuse or an accident, but other than that the quality is good.Ive witnessed people calling this a cheap knock off or imitation of the BL Touch. My opinion is, regardless of what technology its based on, it works, and it works very well. Im going to continue adding these to my other printers that use glass beds.

I have had this now for a couple of months and can say that it has been quite helpful however I got this for my Ender 3 Max and with it being a slightly larger printer the cable that came with it was simply not long enough so I had to buy a replacement cable.I also have a Ender 3 pro and after my experience I wouldn’t buy one for that as the bed is small and easy enough to manually level.

I got my first 3d printer for Xmas, an Anycubic Mega S. It has been great fun to try to get good prints so far, but one of the most time consuming yet absolutely critical things to ensure is that the print bed is flat. While easy enough to do, it does take a while, and can be tedious as it needs done before every print. This device does the job for you, and it seems to be very accurate, as my prints have improved already. It was simple to fit, and get going, as all the parts needed are supplied with it. Great help for a beginner

So let's go through the list of problems with this cheap rubbish. 1 , there is no information on what printers this will work with. 2, there is no information on how to set this up with any 3d printer. 3 , the lead it comes with is no where near long enough to reach your hot end and the motherboard. 4 ,its only £10 cheaper than genuine bl touch. 5, if your motherboard supports a touch sensor your firmware my not for this particular sensor. 6, the mount it comes with is not compatible with any printer I tried it on, instead you have to 3d print a mount for this rubbish from thingyuniverse. And 7, it's very poor quality and doubt would last very long . All in all absolutely rubbish

I hoped the kit would work out of the box with Ender 3 V2. It didn't. The supplied mount wasn't suitable. I had to print one. I would have preferred a steel mount to be supplied (as is with some other brands.). The biggest annoyance is that the supplied cable is too short. A replacement cable costs £10+. Overall, I'm disappointed: the lower cost is negated by the extra cost for purchasing the required cable.

This kit, once dialled in, makes levelling a bed so much easier and gives great results. Using either the bed levelling option on your machine, or even better, the octoprint bed visualiser - this does all of the work for you. I installed on an ender 5 pro and you basically plug the 3 pin plug into the bl touch port (5pin slot, just use the 3 pins at the end)… connect the 2 pin plug to the z-stop plug and that’s it wired in.You will need to activate bl touch in your firmware and once that is updated home the device and adjust the z offset using paper and save settings. This will now probe the bed and adjust. Mine is working great and I’m really happy with it!!

Effective BLTouch replacement at a reduced price. Seems that description of orange and yellow is subjective but the other wires/images correspond. For most printers (mine was an Anet A8) you will have to rewire both plugs, as they will not work as configured. You need to connect the black wire (from B&W 2 pin) into the same 3 pin port as the brown. Red is ok. White (from B&W 2 pin) needs to be connected to yellow (of 3 pin). Existing yellow (needs to be spliced into ribbon connectors (for A8 port 3 - 3rd in from red on ribbon cable)

Die Installation war einfach und die beiliegende Anleitung war klar und präzise.Der 3D Touch ist sehr genau und hat eine schnelle und zuverlässige Messung. Das bedeutet, dass das Auto-Leveling in meinem Drucker genau und schnell durchgeführt wird. Das hat meine Druckqualität verbessert und die Arbeit mit meinem 3D-Drucker insgesamt einfacher gemacht.Ein weiterer großer Vorteil des Giantarm Geeetech 3D Touch ist die Möglichkeit, die Druckoberfläche zu wechseln und verschiedene Druckoberflächen zu verwenden. Das hat mir geholfen, mich an verschiedene Materialien und Druckbedingungen anzupassen und meine Drucke auf ein höheres Niveau zu bringen.Der 3D Touch arbeitet leise und zuverlässig und ich habe keine Probleme mit Fehlauslösungen oder Fehlfunktionen gehabt. Das Gerät ist auch einfach zu kalibrieren und zu warten.Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Giantarm Geeetech 3D Touch. Es ist ein hochwertiger und zuverlässiger Sensor, der das Auto-Leveling meiner Drucke vereinfacht und verbessert hat. Ich empfehle es jedem, der auf der Suche nach einem präzisen und zuverlässigen Auto-Leveling-Sensor für seinen 3D-Drucker ist.

snelle leverig ( sneller dat gezegd was ) alles wat er bij moet zijn zit er ook bij dus top 👍 het aansluitenis een fluitje van een cent . 5 stekkertjes mooi uitgelegd op you tube ......maar de software of firmware diemoet geladen en op sommige plaatsen moet aangepast worden is een ramp . ik zoek al 2 weken naar een duidelijke uitleg zodat een sukkelaar zoals ik er ook iets van begrijpt en het kan instellen , maar niets te vinden . spijtig dat geeertech hier niet meer aandacht aan besteed . en zonder hulp gaat me de instalatie niet lukken . spijtig ,het zag er zo mooi uit .
