Dr. Martens, Women’s 1460 Original 8-Eye Leather Boot, Cherry Red Smooth, 10 US Women

Okay everyone. These shoes are great! But they have many pros and con's. Also the sizing is super confusing because they are UK sizing. First off, I wear an 8-8.5In women and I ordered a 6 UK. If you are my size order a 6! May reviews said they run big but they are just stiff and need to be broken in. Many reviews said that they wore an 8-8.5 and got a 7 UK but that was HUGE on my foot and I have a pretty wide foot. To be careful, I went to my nearest mall and tried on the same shoe and see which one fit better. And the 6 UK fit for me. Everyone has different feet I know but if you are my size I strongly suggest you get a 6 UK.i have always wanted a pair of docs but they were just really pricy. I only paid 67.00 for them!ProsThey are so nice. The leather is nice and smooth. Great quality. Seems like they will last a very long time. Exactly how I thought they would be. Nice and heavy. In the shoe box, it comes with a free pair of yellow shoe laces! These are the original not the ones made in China! Really really nice shoe!Cons-When I first tried them on oh my gosh they were so uncomfortable! But I got over it and walked around and I broke them in. The whole shoe is so stiff! It didn't hurt to walk in them once I broke them in. The tongue is so ff too,stiffest part of the shoe. Which bothered me at first.At the end of the day they were great shoews and I strongly recommend these to you!

Okay, so let me start by saying that these boots were my first online purchase. I was very afraid about buying these after reading about the size issues. I'm an 8.5 with wide feet, (so wide that I buy sandals a 1/2 size up) so I'm anywhere from a US 8-9. I went to a local shoe store and tried on the acid pink patent lamper leather boots. The UK 7 was huge (clownish) and the 6 felt extremely tight and I could barely walk. I wanted the hot pink one's and they don't sell them in store so I decided to try my luck here. I went back and forth trying to decide if I should go 1/2 a size bigger or smaller. I'm so glad that I got the UK 6 (1/2 size smaller) because they fit perfectly! They are a little tough but the patent leather is not as tough as the smooth leather ones. I feel mild discomfort but they only arrived today so a little breaking in will do the trick. They are beautiful; buy them. You will not regret it!Pros: Color is exactly like the picture (I have the hot pink lamper leather original 1460's)Shoes are the right size (I'm a 8.5 with wide feet and 1/2 size down fit perfect)Relatively painless with my expectationsCheaper pricing and these are the real deal (all the stitching and packaging are legitimate)Cons: A bit of squeaking (but hey they are patent)Mild discomfort (do your research this or much worse I've read is to be expected)I hope this helps the anxious ones... Sizing: I usually wear a US 5.5, so I got them in a size US 5 (UK 3). (I can also wear TOMS in size 5 where it is snug and a bit tight, if that helps.) They fit perfectly! It's not too tight and not too spacey. In fact, they fit so well on my feet that it never hurt when I broke them in. No blisters at all. I cannot say you will have the same experience, but it was not HELL for me. They are tight with 2 layers of regular socks and 1 fluffy sock (just in case you need to wear them if you think it'll hurt that bad when breaking them in.)Overall I would say the the tightest places are at the top of the foot (at the end of the lace holes) and the back heel.It is a little difficult to get off, but not impossible. They're not like other boots with zippers.Color: Beautiful. I got the Cherry Red Smooth. At first it was a little browner than I thought but in the light outside it looked decently red. If you want a shocking red, I advise you get the patent red. They match with everything I have and I get compliments on them. I know they're pricey, but they'll last so long and are classics so if you are pondering about getting them I would encourage you to do so when the price is discounted.Authenticity: I know these Docs are real because they came in the official Doc Marten's box, the label on the box matched my order specifications, the docs have the famous yellow lining on the bottom, and I got an extra pack of yellow laces.Shipping: On time.These are a bit heavier than the conventional shoe, but also very sturdy and durable.

I've been wanting a pair of Dr. Martens for quite some time, but have found it hard to splurge $100+ on a pair of boots. I visited a nordstrom rack just the other day and they had a few pairs in my size (6) for a very decent price, but I found them to be gigantic, so I passed them up. I went home and started googling... enter Amazon.com with their fabulous price of $85+tax and FREE 2 day shipping if you sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. I dove in and bought the smooth black leather and they arrived today. I ordered a size down and find that they fit great. I've read a few reviews which stated that there is a "bump" at the base of the tongue and I would have to agree - they fit quite tight in that area, which I'm hoping will go away when they're broken in. Other than that, I would say that once these babies are broken in, they will be a great pair of boots that I'm hoping will last quite a long time. If these work out, I'm contemplating getting another pair when winter rolls around.

Colour comes out alot more vibrant, beautifully designed and packaged, no scuff or searches when I got them out of the box, price is worth it,easy to clean, I just love them, they're so comfy too, I WANT MORE!!! Lol

Nachdem meine alten, schwarzen Docs nach vielen Jahren endgültig ihren Dienst quittieren mussten (irreparabler Lederbruch), war ich gezwungen, mir neue zu beschaffen, da Docs nach dem Eintragen meiner Meinung nach zu den bequemsten Schuhen überhaupt gehören. Und da ich die meiste Zeit aus Berufsgründen stehend verbringe, ist mir das doch sehr wichtig.Auf der Suche nach erschwinglichen Modellen stieß ich auf diese hier, und nach kurzem Zögern siegte Humor über meine allgemeine Abneigung gegen Bunt. Ich gebe zu, der enorme Preisunterschied hatte auch ein wenig damit zu tun.Diesmal habe ich die Schuhe eine Nummer kleiner bestellt als die letzten, und abgesehen davon, dass sie toll aussehen, verursachen sie mir, im Gegensatz zu den letzten, die ich eine Nummer größer, als ich brauche, gekauft hatte, auch weniger unangeneheme Druckstellen und Blasen beim Einlaufen bisher. Das einzige, worüber ich mir noch Gedanken machen muss, ist die Frage der Pflege bei diesem "gelackten" Leder in dieser Farbe.

bought these for my youngest daughter; she really loved them. A bit hard to break in, but very comfortable once done. They are absolutely fab to look at, but after about five months the varnish started to peel away and we had to throw them. Mind you, this was ordinary use, not trekking we are talking about. I guess, since little girls' feet grow very fast this might be less of a problem than if it were an adult shoe. Still, considering the relatively high price I was expecting much more from these shoes.
