I got this because I needed a new cable for my 4 wheeler for winter snow removal with a blade. We get a lot of snow. Despite what advertisements might say, having a single cable doesn't last very long of lowering and raising the snow blade for 30 min every time it snows.It wears and frays. I wanted one that was shorter than the 50' normal cable, so that I could double the cable up and stop the fraying and splitting. IT WORKS! This cable doesn't take up the full spindles space on the winch, so I can easily double it up, which I have done, and it saves the cable for several seasons use.Why someone hasn't made a double cable on the end in the first place is crazy. The nylon are much weaker, so they don't last at all. But they would if there was a metal end doubled.Anyway, this cable works perfectly for what I need. It went right in and worked. It's been working for a few plowing times already, with no fraying.

Used to replace my tethered strap on boat winch. Works fine for that but the spring clip is already loose and doesn't latch like it's supposed to. The clip misses the hook and flies open and I have to put it back in place behind the hook. It's more of a nuisance than anything as I believe it will still hold and not slip out without the clip in the right spot. But still it broke when I put it on the boat on the very first use so quality kinda sucks.

Was installed easily, wire rope would have laid easier on the winch drum, but was an economical replacement that works.

Only issue was it took about 20 minutes to file the soldered end before it slid into the winch barrel hole. But is perfect otherwise.

Easy to install onto my wench and much less expense than making up a cable with a hook and guide. Excellent value.

This is the cable I have been looking for. Strong and well made. I would certainly buy this item again.
