Midwest Momma Meal for 40!
Ok I've ordered this several times because it is amazing! Here is what I do: 30qt stock pot or larger (I filled it to the rim) Chicken stock or broth (a lot) Potatoes 5lbs Carrots 3lbs Onions 4 large Chicken 6lbs+ This awesome paste! Coconut milk Coconut cream Jasmine rice First this is what I do. This is not authentic. I'm a basic white girl in the Midwest. Start heating 10 cups of chicken broth or stock in your stock pot to boiling. I julianne the carrots I prefer to Julianne the onions but I have to dice and hide them for my husband and kids. I cut the Potatoes into 1cm rounds and quarter those rounds. Like little potato chunks. The Chicken gets cut into small chunks like 1/2 in to 1 in cubes. Throw all that into a huge stock pot and put more chicken stock or broth in to cover the meat and veggies and add in the curry paste. Mix that mess all up and boil it until the veggies and chicken are cooked through. Add 4 cans of coconut milk. Cook up the jasmine rice. However much you need for that meal. Layer rice and curry then add cream to taste. Done! Open up some Coconut cream and use that to take the heat down if you need to. It helps meet the spice needs for everyone. I think it makes it look real tasty drizzled on top. We feast and then I take whatever rice is left over and throw it in the pot. Then I bag up the leftovers the next day when its had time to cool down in my secondary garage fridge. It also gives the veggies extra time to soak up the spice. Its great to have single serve microwave meals that I can throw on rice. Also freezing the leftover rice in the mixture essentially turns that rice into a fiber. Its like a new element altogether. So yeah, that's how my family likes it. Easy peasy, cheap and delicious. If youve ever enjoyed the warm heat of yellow curry at a restaurant, youll love this. Its AMAZING!

Super spicy for me, bet definitely authentic!
I have to give the product 5 stars.m because the product is fine. But Holy moly is it spicy! I am used to the Thai kitchen red curry paste. I go through tiny jars like crazy when I make big batches of curry and they cost me a fortune at the grocery store. I thought I'd try to save some money buying this brand, but it is so much spicier! Flavor is great! But what good is flavor when my mouth is on fire and I can't taste anything? It's just not for me. If you can stand a medium to higher heat, this will suit you well. But I'm a mild girl. So Thai kitchen brand is better suited for me. Yes this would go farther because of how potent the spice is, but I love that full depth of flavor with less heat! I sautéed it for a few seconds in oil. Only a spoonful. I had to add two cans of coconut milk while trying to suit it to my taste and it was still too spicy. It was barely even pink. Too hot for me. I gave the rest to my father that eats raw red Thai chilies for fun! He'll love it! It's just not for a weakling like me! The 32oz tub of Thai kitchen brand is $23 compared to this $7 slightly smaller tub. But the cost difference doesn't matter in the end if I can't eat it. If you are used to Thai kitchen brand and like the nearly non existence of heat but tons of depth in flavor. Stick with that brand. If you want more heat, then this more authentic brand will be a delight! Especially for the price! I wish it worked for me! You can't beat the price for the size!

Authentic Thai red curry taste with essential ingredients built in
Excellent red curry paste, far better than anything you can find in the store unless you can shop at an Asian market. Big container will keep for a long time in the refrigerator so you can continue to use from it for a variety of dishes. You get a lot of curry dinners out of this tub, great value. It’s spicy, just use less and add coconut milk or table cream. Works in Italian dishes too, add less, use tomato sauce, onions, garlic, carrots, for spicy bolognese, google NYT recipe.

Fine Curry Paste, A Bit Salty
Very authentic and tasty red curry paste, but fairly salty, so must use less of other salty condiments (like fish sauce, soy sauce) in recipes. That's fine if you know it, and can tweak those other seasonings by taste before serving.

Best tasting Penang curry paste with all natural, clean ingredients, no oils. I just add to coconut milk and a scoop of all natural peanut butter, dark soy, add my vegs and protein, then over rice or noodles, delicious! Much better than restaurant or takeout.

Having tried Thai curries for the first time on an amazing holiday in Thailand, I was rather disappointed when trying to replicate flavours using pastes from supermarkets in the UK. Having tried Mae Ploy's Penang curry paste with great success (and compliments from guests), I decided to try this company's red curry paste to see if that was as good. I was not disappointed. Both bring back the memories of dinner on the beach and lunches in the jungle. Please note that this is a fairly spicey curry (as it should be) and the instructions clearly state to use half the stated amount of paste if a milder curry is desired. My wife and I like a hot curry and actually add a green finger chilli with the vegetables. Basically, you can tailor this to your taste (something you cannot do with jars of curry sauce). A useful tip: When first opened, I divide the paste into single-recipe weights and store in the freezer in individual small tubs. This way, they have lasted over 18 months without any deterioration in flavour and are instantly ready for cooking. I would not hesitate to recommend these curry pastes to anyone who enjoys authentic Thai curries.
