My friends tease me and call me a vampire bc I won't go ANYWHERE without an umbrella. You can find me easily in a crowd because I bring the shade wherever I go. Needless to say I have a healthy collection of umbrellas. This is by far my favorite.

Is just OK. Am not fond of not being able to open it manually. Consider it good enough for an emergency sun umbrella to store in the car.

Wife loves it. Uses it during hot and rainy days.

Killer umbrella - so, so, gorgeous. I plan to use it mostly as a sun umbrella - the description says it offers UV protection, so I'm all in. I just can't convey how lovely this item is. It folds up to a travel size that can easily fit in my purse (which is not small, but still). I live in California and probably won't see much rain with it, so I can't speak to how it will hold up in harsh weather. But we don't exactly have typhoons in these parts, so I'm assuming it will do very well for my needs. The design is taken from Van Gogh's oil painting, Almond Blossom, and I think walking around with this on a sunny day will make me about 25% more attractive. I may even have a new "look". Kidding, but not. If you like​ the pictures in the ad, I will tell you this is even more lovely in person. Highly recommend, people. This is without a doubt, the best purchase I have made this summer. If I had only known a product like this existed , I would have been so much cooler! The UV and rain umbrella with sun protection has made my summer so much better. I have a health condition that worsens if I am exposed to the sun too long. All of the other umbrellas that I have used to shield me from the sun are too thin and really do not provide me with any protection at all. This classy umbrella has Van Gogh scenery and looks like no other umbrella that I have ever seen. The lining in the umbrella is woven so tightly that i cannot see through the fabric. It has an easy automatic open and close button with a cover for the umbrella when it is being stored. Using this umbrella is like walking under a cloud. No only am I cooler, but the dangerous UV rays are blocked. It's a win-win all around.I received this product at a discount/free in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. This is, hands down, my absolute favorite umbrella. I have never owned one that I have been so proud and excited to use. The beautiful pattern on it looks like a Japanese silk to me, although it is not really silk. Along with rain protection, it also protects from UV sun rays. It is a little bit larger than many umbrellas, at 38 inches, so you get true protection from the elements. One thing I have noticed is that with the UV protection, that there seems to be less heat getting through and so it is more comfortable when used on a sunny day. I tested this out with another umbrella I own, and sure enough, both less solar radiation and less heat was felt with the PortableFun umbrella.The way it opens and closes is nice, since the push button on the bottom of the handle allows for the umbrella to spring open and again the same button is pushed and it is spring-released to close it down. It is well made and sturdy. It is truly beautiful, and how many people can say that they have a Van Gogh masterpiece print umbrella?
