“Let me sum up...”
We’ve had our Epic Artifactory reclaimed barn wood wall up for over a year now. To be honest, I wanted to sing their praises back when we did this project, but I’m kind of glad I (unintentionally) gave it some time because it’s allowed us to see the quality of it. We have received more compliments than I can count from neighbors and friends, and even had a designer from a local home builder “steal” our barn wood wall idea and put it in all of their new models!! This wall completely transformed our living area, and gives our home such a warm, welcoming feeling, and yet feels updated and fresh with the latest trends. The customer service experience with the company is outstanding. I can say this as a business owner with high expectations (I require the highest customer service with my own company)...it’s exciting to me to find a company like this, and feels great to support a small, Made in the USA company, that does such a great job for their customers. I reached out to them a few times, once before purchasing from them, and later on during installation, and they were very responsive and helpful. Now as far as installation goes...I will say it was helpful to have a miter box and handsaw for small cuts. Also, because this is authentic reclaimed barn wood, some of it can be warped. So when u put it up, it would be helpful to use a roller to help the adhesive grab. Because we didn’t do that, we did have a few boards pop out, but we simply used a small nail gun to tack them down, which worked perfectly and they’ve not popped out since.Another tip is to make sure the wall color behind it is a darker color, so if there are gaps in between the boards, or nail holes, they don’t stand out (as white or light colored paint would). We bought a can of “oops” paint from Home Depot that was a chocolate brown and slapped it up on the wall the day before we put up the reclaimed barn wood (our wall was light golden beige before). My last tip is to lay out a pattern on the floor before you start putting the wood on the wall. This was the best thing my husband and I did to make the various shades appear balanced and yet variated. It also helped with preparing what cuts needed to be made (to fit the end of the wall). It made the project a rewarding team effort, where I payed out the pattern, while my husband put up the wall and made the small cuts. I’d also recommend starting from the top of the wall and working your way down for aesthetics and ease of installation. My husband’s #1 tip: alcohol consumption should wait until after installation is complete. ;)

Amazing product + how I installed it
I loved this product so much, I wanted to write a review. I just installed it yesterday on a 7 x 5 drywalled chimney wall. The product is nicely made- lots of colors that go together and that distressed look that I love. I got the product but sat on it for a week simply because I wanted to understand how to lay the colors down. I don't think just grabbing a random board and sticking it to the wall and repeating the process till you are done is the best way to go about it. Lots of the colors go together, but I feel colors go together better if you plan it. What I mean by that is I laid them out on the floor as I wanted them on the wall. I had a big pile of grey boards and a big pile of brown boards and put them together on the floor before I did it on the wall- that way, I can control certain accent points on the wall- if a section is more grey, I can accent it by a rare brown, or if a section is predominately brown, I had use a really vibrant grey to make that area pop. Lots of the youtube videos I watched on how to install seemed like they were just grabbing random boards- I wanted a really awesome wall, so I did it my way and very glad I did. I love how it turned out. Also, since my area was 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide, I cut the longest boards to give more of a staggered look. I think the longest boards are 4.2feet and I felt that would look strange on a 5foot area- very glad I cut them up. I used a mider saw and it was flawless. I read some reviews on Amazon that the tape didn't hold up-not sure if it was true or not, but I didnt want the nightmare of boards falling off down the line, so I bought some Liquid Nails Project ($1.47 at Home Depot- it took 2 of them) and added that in between the tape on the back of the boards. I checked the strength of the glue this morning and those boards are solidly in place. Its amazing what this product does to a room- adds a whole new element to the room in that really modern/artsy. I couldn't be happier.

Outstanding product, satisfied 2-time buyer
This is the second time we have ordered the Plank and Mill peel and stick product. First time was for a smaller wall with an angle, this time for our foyer. Attached a photo to show the difference between the original foyer wall prior to install and then the result. I mean, it is a dramatic difference. On the product, I have been very impressed with P+M. Very distinct reclaimed boards, very consistent cuts, and good variety of color while staying in the same family. I really like that you will find multiple pieces from the same boards, so you can use them around your design. They also do a great job with the peel and stick where it is easy to unpeel and extremely sticky. On the install, my 60 sq ft foyer wall took about 5 hours to complete. This included prep, setup, installing, and clean up. So, not bad. I do recommend an electric miter saw (good excuse to buy one). I did use a hand saw and box for the first room, but the miter saw makes it so darn easy. It is key to be sure you tuck each piece into each corner and into the top board to be sure you do not leave any gaps. Because once you stick this on the wall, it is NOT coming off easily. I had no issues with this wall, but on my first one, I had to rip off one and it leaves a lot of residue. I could sand it down, but not fun. But, I was able to lay another one on top of it, no issue. But, the installs have been very easy. My recommendation is to unbox everything, lay out and organize all pieces into piles for each size and then arrange them by color (like brown to grays). By doing this, I found it very easy to find the right piece as I started to build the wall to ensure I had a nice mix and nothing the same together.Delivery: On time, boxes are built to ship, well wrapped, no damage.Overall, very impressed with this company and no doubt will use them again.
