First off. It is heavy. But it is easy to carry, doesn't tilt like the old lodge does, and is super well built. But, you don't want to carry it 50 yards as it is thick cast iron. This thing really cooks. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best grill I've ever used. I use my starter (the small one) and poor in my hot bricks. (Kingford). Set in on the high setting (cooking surface) and open the draft door half way. Man, do those steaks and burgers sizzle! I put some corn oil on it before cooking and ran it one full cycle to season it. No big sticking issues the first use. (Burgers). Cooked ribeyes three days later, no sticking. Man this thing cooks great. I have NEVER had better meat cooked on a grill. This product is well made, well packed, easy to put together (two screws and tool included) and a great company. Well done Ironmaster. This is WELL worth the extra money. I'm one happy customer.

Great Hibachi. Use it a lot. Easy to clean. I research many and this one is the best one for me. Pre seasoned. It cooks hamburgers to perfection better than my outside Weber gas grill. It will only fit about 5 hamburgers and a few hotdogs on it. I have it on top of a wrought iron 10 gallon fish tank stand. Works great. I do put it away after it’s cold and I empty cold charcoal out. In the Garage I use the kingsford fire starter chimney which is a wonderful way to not use lighter fluid. Who wants to taste chemicals in your meat

We bought this to take to a VRBO that didn’t have a grill. It’s perfect! We use a “chimney” to start the coals, pour them in the grill, and away we go! Perfectly seared steaks, chicken and veges! It’s heavy, but it’s cast iron which helps to attain high temps! Totally worth the cost! Huge thumbs up …

I bought this cast iron grill for my husband for Christmas last year as he really loves grilling. I had no idea how much he would absolutely love this thing. It doesn't require as much charcoal, the coals get super hot, stay hot and are so close to the grate. It's perfect size for the two of us and is used almost daily. We use various grill woks and grates to cook various things as well as a cast iron griddle. We bought a rolling cart with tons of surface space and cubbies for cooking tools and sprays. It stays in the garage protected from the weather and has a little rust (we live near the salty ocean) but you can clean that. Nothing will destroy this bad boy and we love it. Highly recommend this little gem, great value for the money.

Small, but good-made cast iron grill for outdoor use (for a small family of 3-4). Pre-seasoned with natural vegetable oil, but it's better to season again. Portable, but heavy to carry for camping (keep it at home for backyard use). Could be cheaper.

I have tried reaching the sender to try to get a cover for this grill, but they haven’t answered. The grill is heavier than I expected.

I really like the double sided grill plate to give me two distances from the fire to work with ... very smart. I paid about 50 percent more for this grill to get this feature. Virtually all cast iron components, even the fire grate is cast iron. A very complete cast iron Hibachi Grill - almost 100 percent cast iron. I am expecting a very long life time from this grill. Long enough side to side to cook nice size fish and fillets. Very easy to assemble -- literally two screws attach the fire box to the support stand and the rest is just putting the parts in place correctly.

Purchased for sixth wedding anniversary present for my husband, very pleased with it. I was looking for a small compact item that would serve just the two of us although looking at it is will certainly cook for more. Very well made and forged, looking forward to trying it soon.
