Q: Would this be easy to spread thin on 110lb cardstock with a foam brush?

I have had no problems spreading thin layers of this adhesive on cardstock, paper and fabric with a soft brush (medium size paint/watercolor brush). I would think it would work just as well with a foam brush. I not a fan of using too much adhesive when making journals. Hope this helps

Q: what are the instructions for applying

I use a thin coat to the paper and apply the paper to the surface of another peice of paper. There is no wrinkling as long as the coat is thin. Though, I have seen some in class use heavier coats with success, but why waste the adhesive. I use it to make hand made books and like its acid free properties and the books lasts a long time.

Q: Will this glue repair a book whose outer cover (binding) has detached completely from the spine (book pages)? Will the pages not fall out?

This glue should repair all your book issues. As long as you can hold all the pages together tightly the cover should be able to be glued back on. When this glue dries, it is still very plyable, like the glue found on the top edge of a note pad. I would suggest clamping the book during the drying time, which is about a day.
