Q: Can anyone tell me how deep..(front to back) is this unit??

Hello. I cannot tell you in exact inches or centimeters because mine is already installed. I can tell you that it seemed very shallow, maybe 6 inches.

Q: Hi, where´s the microphone? does it hear properly your voice while driving?

The microphone is attached to the back of the stereo via a long cable - about 6' or so if I remember correctly. You'll need to route the mic to a good spot and mount it there. I put mine on the windshield support where the plastic meets the cloth headliner. I was able to hide the cable in the door seal and then run it along the underside of the console over the pedals to the back of the stereo. That makes it sound like a lot more work than it actually was. I'll try to post some pictures later if I have time.I haven't had any problems with voice quality. I used a Belkin Bluetooth adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CLYJ2I/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for about a year prior to this and my wife constantly complained about the voice quality when I called her using it. She hasn't had a single complaint about the call quality with the JVC unit yet.

Q: Is this compatible with a 2005 pontiac grand am?

with the right wiring harness it would be compatible with any car or truck. just get an installation kit and you should be good to go!

Q: does this unit have steering wheel control?

It has a remote that comes with it. There is also a wire to hook it up to your steering wheel, but you have to have the control on your steering wheel already. There is no steering wheel control as part of this set.
