These are great quality. Works great for air planes and helicopters. Good value.

We tried a different brand that is much cheaper with lots more features but our young son just got into RC and we're learning it. Spectrum makes their devices very easy to use and user friendly. The open TX transmitters are way too advanced for us. Definitely worth it if you know that you're doing, of you're a novice, spektrum will save your life with how easy it is to use.

I like to use this on my pc flight simulator on steam! I get all the practice I need on the simulator first before flying any new aircraft! Nice!

Radio transmitters have really changed over the decades so they’re more involved and harder to set up. This one comes with the in-depth operators manual and if you take your time, you can set it up without any issues. The first one I ordered had a problem with it and it locked up and I was unable to use it so it was returned. The one I have now is the same identical unit but without any issues, I would recommend buying a radio to at least get an eight channel. Most of the planes on the market you only need four channels if it’s a simple installation but if you’re going to use safe select, an A3 X, that needs another channel. As you move up and planes you find yourself needing more channels, so eight channel radio makes sense. Another thing to consider is the radio is being used by your club members. If your club uses JR then I recommend buying a JR if they use spectrum I recommend buying a spectrum , that way you can always find help if you get stuck on setting something up on your plane. It’s a well-made transmitter and a main stay of anybody flying RC

The media could not be loaded. Initially I was impressed and excited to use this new transmitter. Ive been flying RC planes, helis, and quads for over 15 years. After two weeks of use, I noticed that my rudder was not responding correctly due to the transmitter sending a full left signal even with the stick centered. I found that if I gently tapped the transmitter case with the palm of my hand, the radio would start responding correctly, but then would go back to full left signal with the stick centered. Reached out to Horizon tech support that had me perform a stick calibration, but the issue did not change. Pretty disappointed with the overall quality control as well as the contributing factor the radio played in the crash of my brand new E-Flite Turbo Timber Evolution- thankfully that will fly again, but not with this radio.

This radio is easy to get to know and program. Also, it's screen is better than the others so it's easier to see. Nice TX!
