Legrand - OnQ Duplex Power Kit (F7526)

The Legrand On-Q Surge-Protected Duplex Outlet Kit (Model: 36456902V1) is an excellent addition to my home networking setup. It fits seamlessly into the bottom knockout of my On-Q enclosure, providing a clean and professional installation. The kit includes a surge-protected duplex outlet, metal junction box, and faceplate, ensuring a comprehensive solution for powering devices within the enclosure.   What sets this kit apart is its compatibility with the On-Q AC1031 power strip module. While the AC1031 offers multiple outlets, it lacks built-in surge protection. By integrating the 36456902V1, I can safeguard all connected devices against voltage spikes, providing peace of mind for my home network.

I first tried using a box and outlet from my local hardware store, but the holes didn’t line up right. Ended up grabbing this kit instead, and it worked perfectly. It’s pretty much made to fit Legrand OnQ Enclosures, so everything fit perfectly into place. (pics: metal box - perfect fit, silver plastic box - not lining up)

Works great in installed correctly. The box is small and the receptacle is large. It won’t work if you use shepherd’s hooks. The outlet is designed to be straight wired in the back and then the screws tightened. This makes the screws low enough that they won’t contact the metal box. If you want extra insurance you can wrap outside of the receptacle in electrical tape. To get the cover to fit flush you need to snap the ears off that are contacting the screws that hold the box in. It’s fits perfectly if you follow these steps. Helps protect my Ubiquiti system from lightning strikes.

This kit made the install in an On-Q panel painless and for $15 it was a good value coming with everything including the box.

Great product it gets power to your tv box

We’ve had such a difficult time finding these in stores since Covid. These are the best price and function we’ve found yet. They are also super easy to install.

Outlet box and cover are fine. Fit the cutout for a Legrand wall cabinet perfectly.Surge protection outlet was defective. Neutral terminal was tightened too tight. Had to loosen it. It did not loosen. Instead, once it got maybe a quarter of a turn, the screw fell out entirely.Save your money on the outlet. Get a simple one instead. Maybe hook up a power bar with surge protection if you have room if surge protection is important to you.
