Simple (but not simple) Nature Paintings, so fun
Beautiful simple (but not really simple) nature pieces. Fantastic steps to follow and get ideas from. I loved doing it in different mediums as well: gouache, watercolors and oils. Each unique and bringing their own strengths to each mushroom. (Fav is gouache by the way, esp on 100% cotton paper).

Best out there
This how to workbook is one of the best I have ever seen. She breaks down the process and explains the watercolor process better than any class I have taken. If you want to learn how to paint with watercolor or gouache, you need this book.

A stunning book to help you learn how to paint better.
This book is worth every penny to purchase. Not only is it a treat for the eyes because the colors are so pleasing but it's organized so very well that you learn the basics about working with your medium And then move on into working into the projects. The projects are worked into very neatly organized and well illustrated steps but do not get confusing. And the nice thing is you can actually utilize these steps to make other projects of your own.If you want to learn to get better a painting nature or understanding how to work with this medium and how to work with layering steps I think this book is definitely a must buy for anybody. I would absolutely recommend this book for someone who is a beginner or at any level to be honest. It's always good for us to refresh our basics sometimes.

Enchanting and Easy to Follow
Clare Gray is an amazing designer and illustrator and I love her Instagram account. Every single tutorial in her book is unbelievably beautiful, creative, and enchanting. The tutorials in this book are extremely easy to follow, especially for those who are new to watercolor or who have only been dabbling for a short amount of time (I've been painting in watercolor for 18 months and still feel like quite a beginner). Each one is so much fun and I've felt so talented by the time I was done!

Great except one thing
I agree with what everyone else said, except one thing. All the sketches were too light! I get that when you actually paint your sketch should be light, but I’m not painting in the book, so I’d like to be able to see the drawings. A few were better than others, but some were barely visible.

Learning a new skill. Expanding my talent.
My friend asked me to do a drawing for her. Once I found a photo to help me draw, my mind opened up to what other media could use to make my drawing more interesting. I used just simple waterpaints and then I noticed qouche paints. Just didn't know how to use it.This book really has an expanded lesson and projects to learn to develope my skills as an artist.

I love the projects!
I have only done one and a half projects so far, and I am learning so much. I have been painting watercolor for almost three years and I was ready for a book like this. I would say it is not a beginner book, but if you are a beginner do it anyway! It’s fun.I like the format of both pictures and text. Sometimes I read the explanations a lot and sometimes I just went for it. It really kept me motivated.
