If you have hard water, repairing the bonnet is simple routine maintenance every 3 or 4 years. The o rings wear out, you start to leak. You try to unscrew the bonnet and it disintegrates. The same happens with less hard water but for hard water you simply expect this as routine maintenance. Takes all of 5 minutes to do the job and everything you need is included. The warranty is nice. For me, it either works or it doesn't. I'm not chasing a warranty in the 3rd year. Good kit, all included, simple to perform the repair.

Worked well and fit the backflow preventer that I was putting it in good to go. Built with good quality, no leakage.

My original one leaked after ten years. The replacement parts came overnight on prime. Watched some fellows video replacing one and did what he did. Took ten minutes to complete and would have gone quicker if I opened the plastic bags with scissors instead of my teeth. Two things from the video helped. One was tighten it a nudge then loosen the other was grease and spin the new one a little to spread the grease around then tighten by hand. Also it comes with two o-rings one thicker than the other use the new one that matches your old one. You don’t have to go wild when you put the dome back on either just snug it down a little it’s only a cover and has little to do with how the thing works. Oh yeah turn off the feed valve first and open the two little drain valves and close them. When you got everything done put your face someplace other than over the dome and open the feed valve abruptly so the spring closes the thingie properly. I bought the OEM one so can’t vouch for the others. Really happy with the purchase Febco and Amazon.

Don't take chances with anything other than original equipment. Watch YouTube videos on how to replace/repair. Don't get worried if water comes out of top. If it was replaced correctly it will stop in a few seconds. Easy replace/repair probably saved $200 in labor.

Easy fix for a totally broken internals. Had a leak with this but I think the brass component expanded in the heat and the o-ring popped out because I didn't tighten it hard enough. I untightened it and the o-ring popped back in place then tighten it back down while it was hot in the afternoon sun. Good to go.
