Whenever I see the words relief or sensitive associated with a cleanser, I'm probably going to want to try it out. Which is why I ordered this Ultra Comfort Cleanser Profound Relief from DCL Skincare. This cleanser did not arrive in a box, but there is a seal underneath the cap and that's good enough for me. I like that it does not contain any sulfates, phthalates, silicones, PEGs, added fragrance, or parabens. Even though it does not have parabens though, the preservative it does use is not much better in my opinion. This cleanser has phenoxyethanol in it, which is definitely considered a harsh ingredient. It can exacerbate skin conditions like eczema, and some will have an allergic reaction to it. In addition, during the process (ethoxylation) of creating this ingredient it will release toxic byproducts, which can then contaminate the final product. These byproducts include ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, both known carcinogens. Other than that one ingredient, it's a clean formulation. The cleanser has a gel like consistency and does not foam up when using it. There is a very light scent to it which smells vaguely of aloe. It leaves my face feeling clean, though not necessarily moisturized. This matters not since I always use serum and moisturizer afterward. What matters to me is that it has several good soothing ingredients, which help to calm my rosacea. Currently this cleanser is selling for $25 for a generous 8 oz bottle. Even though I have deducted one star for the harsh preservative, I think this cleanser has some nice ingredients otherwise, and the price is fair.

I have fairly sensitive skin, especially in the winter. I decided to give this cleanser a try, because I was almost out of my regular cleanser. I'm not too familiar with this brand, but have been happy with my experience. The cleanser gel is not foamy, and applies without any discomfort or irritation. When rinsed, it left my skin feeling soft and supple. This cleanser was either unscented or very mildly scented. I tend to switch between different cleansers depending on the weather and the day (I might go with this cleanser if I had spent much of the day outside, or opt for an exfoliating cleanser if I noticed that my skin felt oily), so I feel that this would last me quite some time; the recommended "life" of this product once opened is 12 months. I am not much of a stickler for ingredients, because I care more about how my skin feels after using a product. I've had too many negative experiences where a product that's supposed to be gentle and natural feels anything but; another reviewer mentioned the harsh cleanser ingredient, but I have honestly been quite happy with this cleanser and maybe even prefer it to my regular cleanser. If your skin is temperamental, and you're looking for a cleanser for either regular or occasional use, the DCL Skincare Ultra Comfort Cleanser is one to try. I would absolutely order this product again.

As someone with sensitive skin, I have to be selective about the products I use. During the course of winter, my eczema intensifies. There are very few cleansers that don't burn or irritate my skin while using it. This happens to be one of them. The formula is very gentle. The consistency is kind of milky or creamy-like. Also, it does not foam like your ordinary cleanser would (most likely due to the absence of sulfates). I'm fine without the foam. It still works well, and I love how clean it gets my face. I put its cleansing power to the test. I ran a dry wipe over my skin right after washing it, and I didn't see any traces of leftover makeup or debris on the wipe, so I know this cleanser is doing its job. However, my skin does feel a little tight after washing, but I make it a mandatory part of my skincare regimen to moisturize after cleansing. I'd advise anyone to do the same. Overall, I'm very happy with this ultra comfort cleanser by DCL.

Super sensitive skin person here. I've been using Vanicream since having a severe allergic reaction and am ready to see if I can find something else. This seemed like a fairly safe option. This is a decent sized cleanser with a flip top. My bottle was not sealed, and that always gives me pause. I did a skin test on my arm and after a few days, decided to try it. I also make sure to introduce only 1 new product at a time so I can isolate any problems. This cleanser does not lather, really even in the slightest. No biggie - I've used other cleansers that didn't. I didn't find that it did well getting my residual mascara off (I use a makeup eraser first). Sadly, I woke up the next morning with some broken out spots. I know that can be due a number of things, but I'm very much a creature of habit (eat the same things, use the same products, etc.). I didn't use the product again and all the spots are nearly cleared up. I guess this will go in my cosmetic discard pile.
