The small brush is perfect for applying saddle soap and getting a good lather, as well as working the product into crevices. I purchased the set for cleaning leather bags and furniture, mainly for this smaller brush, and am very pleased with how easy it makes the task. Personally, I have been wiping soap residue away with a micro fibre cloth, and then using the pad included in this kit to buff the leather once it’s dried - I’ve been impressed with the outcome. I’ve used both these items a few times now, and have not had any hairs fall out of the brush which is a marker of good quality. I hate it when hairs and bristles come out and I have to pick them out of soap or polish! Ultimately, I’ve found these to be exactly what I needed, good quality and functionality, and they’ve helped really lift ingrained dirt on a vintage bag (before and after pictured).

Very soft, good for buffing cadet parade shoes. Sometimes sheds a hair or two which can get quite annoying picking it out the polish

Hard to find a good set of brushes these days, but these are good quality, might need a little trim here and there but after that they are very good, and youll get good results with these, they only thing really missing is a muck off type of cleaning brush like on the german army issue set.

A great set horsehair brushes and a buffing pad. I particularly like the large brush which really does buff up the shoe nicely before using the pad to give the final shine. I use a cream rather than a polish for my shoes and this set brings up a very nice shine. Recommended

Frankly not that good. The bristles fall out and the “horse” hair mitt is poor quality. Stop buying cheap stuff.. grab a high quality polishing cloth and brush.. you’ll have them for life.
