Very pleased
I have had a smart heating system for a number of years and just got feed up with the contrary way the signal is received or not. The Wiser system installed easily and the components all talk to each other without any signal booster. The App is simple to understand and is very easy to control each room "the away" feature is easy to use and just works. The two other pluses in my book are, they are made in Britain and they are at least half the price of the brand leader. Very pleased.

Excellent
I've had my eyes on these for a while and took the plunge on black Friday as they were essentially half price. The system is brilliant, easy to install and use. My only gripe is the standalone thermostat display isn't on all the time, probably because it's a colour display which adds nothing to it. They should've made it B/W and on all the time like a conventional thermostat. Oh, and used conventional buttons not touch, as they're a bit naff.

Good - Nearly Very Good
Relatively easy to install. The main unit is a simple slot-in replacement for the old timer. The new radiator control heads fit onto the old valve bodies (in our case with little conversion kits that are included in the box). Slightly fiddly as the battery slots are at the 'rear' when the valve controls face into the room - so quite tricky for inserting new batteries. Electronic set-up relatively straight-forward for units near to the main unit, but radio connection is direct between the base unit and each control head (it does not 'mesh'), so we needed first one and then two plug-in radio extenders (which are also controllable power sockets). The main unit and the extenders each pick up a number of control heads and the extenders then link back to the main unit. There is no way of influencing which heads are picked up by which device, so it is random and (when talking to the helpline, who can actually see your network) it was evident that some of the connections were very silly (giving much weaker connection signals than if each control head was linked to the nearest extender). In use, while the units are connected, it's very good. We can control temperatures in each room individually at any time of the day or night. However: for what appear to be completely random reasons, some heads drop off the system every now and then - not necessarily the same ones. No idea why. You then need to re-set: boring! Overall, when in use the system is significantly better than the old system of a seven-day timer and TRVs; but the connection bits do let down the overall experience quite a bit. If it was possible make some upgrades to the system, it would certainly seem to be a major advantage if the radio signal would mesh rather than being all individual. It would also be significantly better if we could actually 'see' the network connections for ourselves (on the phone) rather than needing to ring the helpline every time there is a problem - they can see what is connected where and they can see the strength of each connection - very valuable. If we could make another change, it would be to add a wireless temperature sensor for the hot water cylinder. (We have just completed our first overall battery change after about a year of use. Not bad battery life, but it was a pain trying to get at the battery compartments).

Excellent and straightforward
The amount of positive things to cite about this product is rather long, and most of them weren't even things we thought we needed when we bought it. Being able to turn off the heating from the airport terminal because you forgot, and then turn it on as soon as you land is priceless. And then specifically configure each room to warm them up only when you use them (eg kitchen when you cook) Simply great

Clunky but work
The app’s a bit clunky and quite slow, and the Alexa integration is rubbish, but the valves do what they’re supposed to, look good and are much cheaper than the alternatives. And if you have Drayton TRV’s then they’re a doddle to fit

Great system
Can’t complain, bit expensive so lose a star, but really easy to install, set up and manage
