It’s great, but if you have a strong true Houdini you’ll have to be cautious when dealing with your dogs boudin behavior. My dogs issue is other dogs heading towards us. You have to be QUICK and precise when pulling the dog back. She does the buck up and as she’s coming down she does the drop of her front half and pulls hard and fast and can slip the harness. You can see I added a martingale collar for backup and I’m glad I did, but believe or not she can pull so hard backward and wiggle she can slip the collar as well. She hasn’t slipped out of this harness yet, but the possibility is there if your dog is quick and determined, especially if you’re in your cell phone like I see so many walking their dogs. It’d be suicide for the dog for me to be on my cell phone walking my dog. I’d also recommend a thicker martingale collar. Much better control and comfort. I also bought two leashesATraffic leash and a locking hook double handle leashI put the traffic controlLeash on the harness and the other on the collar so I have backup for a Houdini.I usually grab the handle on the harness and pull my dog close to me while pulling up at the same time and if need be circle her like you would a horse to make them go the way you want while letting themThink they’re getting their own way. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I never write reviews for anything but this tactical vest and the double lead leash are without a doubt the best investment I’ve made in my 1 year old German Shepard so far!!!! I’ve been through no less than 15 different leashes, harnesses, muzzle leads, collars, chockers etc. I wish I found this vest a year ago!!! COMPLETE CONTROL & HANDLING IMMEDIATELY! AND ALMOST EFFORTLESSLY FOR BOTH OF US!!! We run between 3-4 miles a day everyday. Day one with this vest we ran over 6 miles in the same amount of time!! No more time wasted trying to break the pulling habit or train in the heel command.

It looks great on my dog. Fit is good. She lets me put it on her and take it off of her with no problem. MY biggest problem is the strap unraveled on her right side the first week we had it and can no longer be used. Its just a mat of loose threads. It unraveled all the way back to the clip so you couldnt just cut it off. It unraveled so quickly I didn't even have time to try and fix it, we were out and about when ot started and gone before we could get home. My dog is a rescue and we bought this vest because it was supposed to be escape proof or one of the best. She escaped the first time she was in it. We put it on her VERY snuggly. She could escape if we used the ring on the top to hook her leash. If we used the chest one she couldn't get out as easily. Discounted in the quality. It should have lasted longer than a week.

Looks badass. Makes my puppy look like a police dog. Really well made and sturdy and has room for her to grow. The handles are I the right place and are easy to grab when attaching a leash. She took to it well and didn’t object to wearing it. The one single thing that could be improved is the location of the buckles on the sides. When she lays down on her side her rib cage is right on the buckle. For small dogs, probably not a showstopper but a bigger heavier dog seems like it would hurt. This is obviously just my perception but if you put the harness on during active times only and not when your puppy collapses from all the ball chasing, you probably would never have to worry about it. It really is cool looking and works great. My friend had three dogs and once he saw mine, he is picking up one for each of his.

She loves the harness looks beautiful on her!!! I love that the entire harness is adjustable, so if your dog is in between sizes this will fit!
