I bought the silicone version and avoided the foam type as I got mine for car use. After feeling my rib pike me in the side and an ongoing history of shoulder and hip issues, I got x-rays that revealed I had scoliosis a slightly herniated disk. Doc said I had to get my right shoulder down more and increase some lordosis. So, that meant I had to stick my butt out more. Sitting in the car was the worse thing. I could stack myself up comfortably in my seat, but in no time my back would fold and that herniated disk could be felt. So, I looked around and found this seat support. It provides good lordosis that helps me stack my posture up better and even if I get absent minded and my back begins to sag, the posture it provides saves me from the danger zone from where pain begins. My employer is pleased. My doctor is pleased. I am happy. My back is now strengthening where it needs to and life is much better with heaps less issues with my hip and shoulder. Even what I do feel on days I do feel it, it minimal to what it used to be. I no longer fear I have to dreading my job for the pain I get from sitting in a car. It’s helped me get some positive life hours back. That’s huge.Oh! I added a little tether to it that slips over my seat belt buckle so it stays in place when I get in and out of the car. It’s super easy to adjust when I sit down. It second nature and not at all annoying. Hopefully will post a picture soon.

Update: Pease put your models up for sale if you are unhappy. The company has stopped making them, and I personally would like to purchase three (3) more, one for my other brother, my sisters husband, and a backup one for myself. (already purchased one for my sister, and my youngest brother.)I read some of the reviews, and obviously the larger, thicker backjoy models are the ones for those use cases.This Tech Gel Seat, is amazing on Public Transit, easy to strap to you backpack and take with you. Easy to use on the go, light and packs well. I have purchased five (5) of these, given one to my two brothers, and sister. I've owned several models, and found them useful for different places around the house.But the Tech Gel BackJoy I've told so many people about and to buy one. Using this on the Public Transit busses in Florida, Hawai'i, and Portland, the "bounce" "bang" of pot holes, just disappear with the tech gel.Please bring this item back for sale, I want to buy five (5) more!!

Love this! It took a bit to get the right spot and wearing a dress can be a challenge with adjusting. However the relief I get with this is worth it! I got this pretty quick with being told we would be working from home. The change was very quick in my sitting and comfort. We are transitioning back to work and I have never been in so much discomfort with my chair at the office. I thought the chair at the office was good. Nope! At home I use a kitchen chair and this. Hands down the kitchen chair and this amazing tool wins over my office chair. I’ve bought a second one so I have one at the office and one at home. It is totally perfect!
