The three volume control modes (normal, high, and low) are useful, and the knob has worked well with both my Windows 10 PC and Mac.The design is sleek and compact, making it easy to place on my desk without taking up too much space. While it performs well, I deducted one star because I wish the knob had more tactile feedback to make adjustments even more precise.Overall, I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a simple, effective volume controller with a mute feature. I'm into subtle lights in my electronics and the way the small light on this unit bounces off the brushed metal knob rim and body is very nice and illuminates the important parts beautifully. It works great and feels high-end in every aspect. Set between my Kenesis keyboard just looks amazing

Love this little controller. Just plug it in and use it. No setup required.I use this controller on a computer which, among other things, plays background music all day in my work space. This computer is part of a bank of machines which I control with a KVM switch. Each machine assigned to different tasks.Now, sometimes I need to turn down or mute the music for an important phone call and too many times I was switched to the wrong computer to adjust the music, so I now use this controller which is always connected to the correct computer, even if my multimedia keyboard is currently connected to a different machine.Just love it!

It's remarkable that so many external keyboards don't have dedicated media keys. You have to hit the FN key and hunt for a double-purpose F key like an animal. Somehow, you're expected to remember which F key is fast-forward, or rewind, or play/pause, or volume up, or down, or mute. Madness.That's why we have solutions like the VAYDEER control. The construction is nearly all-aluminum and it's heavy enough to stay in place. The VAYDEER control is even plug-and-play on my 2021 MacBook Pro. No drivers, no setup, and the Mac's onscreen volume display still works.The controls are binding, meaning they work even if the music app isn't in focus but working in the background. So, you can skip tracks while working in any app, for example.NOTE: On a Mac (don't know about a Windows machine), if you have the WhatsApp desktop app, it will occasionally interfere with the VAYDEER control and make it unresponsive. Just disable WhatsApp's access to your Mac's Accessibility under Privacy and Security and all will be well. While you're in Settings, disable WhatsApp's access to anything else you don't want it to access.For the VAYDEER volume control knob: Five stars all the way.

At my desk, I listen to music most of the day and I find myself adjusting the volume and tracks a lot. I have a multimedia keyboard, but having a dedicated knob for volume is so much quicker and more reliable than the keyboard keys. Once you try it, it’s hard to go back. The fact that this has Back, Play/Pause, Forward, and Mute is just a bonus.The craftsmanship of this device is very good. Better than expected, actually. The metal casing and beveled edges look and feel premium. The only place I think there’s room for improvement is the potentiometer (the turning mechanism under the volume knob). Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice, but there is this ever so slight wobble to it that makes me feel like it’s 3.5/5 or 4/5 stars. If you’ve ever turned knobs on high-end audio equipment, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Which brings me to the cost. I feel like this is priced slightly higher than it deserves. If the knob was better, I would say totally worth the price. As is, it’s only worth it because there is nothing better that I can find.A couple other notes worth mentioning: I used this on Windows 10 and macOS 10.15 with no issues. The non-skid rubber bottom is a fantastic idea. And finally, the knob softly clicks as you rotate it. Which makes perfect sense to me now, but for whatever reason I had expected it to be smooth. All in all, this is a great device and I think you’ll be happy with it if this is the kind of thing you are looking for.
