My cat is an expert hunter, so the addition of a remote makes this product really good because we can switch off the motor when she catches the rubber wand, hence preserving the motor from burnout.We had an identical one a few years ago that didn't have the remote and cat managed to burn out the motor by stalling it.The rechargeable battery is also very useful.To add to the cat's excitement, and to keep her stimulated, we tied a red ribbon onto the wand and so this spins round driving the cat beserk!Worth every penny for us, but I feel it's overpriced for what it is for the majority of people-maybe we just dion't count the cost of catty expenses?

We have four cats and got this for them for Christmas. My husband said it wouldn't last - but it has. All four of them love it. We only let them play with it for a short while some days, to keep their interest and excitement. But everyone is intrigued and they take turns chasing it. It's great when we need to distract them. All and in all a great purchase.

I'd already customised the product for my cat before checking whether the remote control worked. Assuming I can't return it now, but the remote is faulty.

The media could not be loaded.  It is rechargeable with any phone charger which is a great advantage and is supplied with a fantastic remote control which scares the living daylights out of mine when they pass it and I press it. (Never seen a cat jump so high)The remote has On/Off, Random, Slow, Middle, Fast and 4 timer settings: 20, 30, 40 and 60 minutes.I tend to let my cats play with it for a few days then put it away for a while to prevent boredom.I attached a small double sided sticker to the base to stop my cats knocking it all over.I have a different type of this with a feather but this on is far better.Very happy with it and fully recommended 10/10

I had the first model which ate a lot of batteries, really happy with the rechargable battery and cats love it. Well worth the extra money over the basic version.
