The wooden components are well filed with no splinters or sharp edges. The paintwork is a bit lacking in the inner corners but not a biggie. My toddler enjoys playing with them.

love love love this toy. love that the truck matches color with his driver. barriers are sturdier than I thought. haven't played with my grandson yet because it's a Christmas present but I'm very happy with my purchase for 17 month old.

These are Big chunky trucks, great for young preschoolers. I bought these without realizing that they are recommended for two year olds. I was going to send them back but decided I would let my students give them a try. Being three and a half I thought they would lose interest quickly and some did. However with fifteen students there was always someone will to take the place of the last child who left. My students were excited to see that they could spin the mixer and tip the dump truck bed. The wooden drivers were smaller then the ones that come in the shape sorter dump truck. That was disappointing but not an uncommon issue I'm finding with the Melissa and Doug products.
