Dido and Aeneas

Well printed and bound. I use it to delve more deeply into a great masterpiece of music.

This is a very good older edition of a great opera.

Since I had to memorise it and perform on stage with the choir, it was wonderful not to have to lug an unwieldy book. This one can be rolled up, opened, put in one's clothing, and is esily readable. One word of advice: never ever lend it, unless you keep it in eyesight. Thus I managed not to have it purloined.

This is a small score of Dido and Aeneas. I would've liked it to be a bit bigger, but it is readable and clear. It feels a bit fragile -not a strong cover-, so I'll need to be extra careful with it... but all in all, it does the job.

I used this score in a recent performance as Aeneas, and was very happy with it. It is pretty much the standard edition. It also includes a LOT of extra optional/alternative material in the second half of it, which I've never seen used, but I guess is nice to have available.

If the score were a real 8.5 x 11 size with clean printing it would be a lot better. I finallygave up and reprinted pages from cpdl.

I bought this edition becuase the conductor is going to use this one. There seem to be a lot of editions for this piece and they appear to have very different piano reductions and numbering systems. However, this is a big improvement on the version available for free from the CDPL, which is full of errors and badly laid out, making it hard to get the rhythms right in performance.

Nice crisply printed score with a legible libretto font. Useful notes. Comfortable format to hold

Excellent. Using it as a working score will mean I have to highlight my line, however, because it is rather 'busy' on the page. Delivery was good too.

Could have done without the text in German underneath the English and a better index at the front

All good except I had thought it was A4 sized. Probably I didn't read details.
