Pictured Rocks (Souvenir Edition): From Land and Sea Hardcover – April 15, 2012

Fine photos of a remote, beautiful region. Pictured Rocks: unusual name, unique formations. It was fun identifying the mineral content of the varying color striations.

I have several books by Craig Blacklock and enjoy them all. He is such a wonderful photographer, and captures the enormity and the beauty of the Lake Superior region. This is a handy little book I have at home to remind me how awesome the Lake is. I also find his comments interesting as to how he composes or creates photographs from multiple images. It adds an extra dimension to what I am looking at.

I was quite disappointed in this book, in that it is very small and short. It doesn't represent the grandeur I would expect from Blacklock and cannot hold a candle to other amazing coffee table books of photography out there.

Great book to remember our lovely trip to Pictured Rocks. Perfect size to keep on your coffee table and remember your trip to this extraordinary part of the USA.

Very nice book. We didn't get to take the boat ride and wished we would have.
