The Sexual Trauma Workbook for Teen Girls: A Guide to Recovery from Sexual Assault and Abuse (Instant Help Books for Teens)

Our teen foster daughter needed a workbook like this to help her navigate her emotions concerning her abuse. I was searching for something not directed at children, yet not directed at older adults - this is perfect. I cannot speak as someone who has been through this situation, but the way the questions/exercises were worded are age appropriate and has good exercises to complete outside of open ended questions. While she is going to therapy, she is thankful she has something she can work on that is private and at home since therapy leaves her feeling emotionally open and vulnerable.

My 16 year old doesn’t like going to counseling and has refused to try it. The counselor recommended this book and it’s a work book she can do on her own to help work through her emotions and learn to manage her trauma.

This workbook has been a great tool for using with my teenage girl clients. The activities and testimonies of the survivors who experienced sexual abuse and rape, has helped my clients with opening up about their trauma and has assisted them with identifying methods of healing.

Very helpful to take whatever time is needed, and help the teenager inside to bring her to understanding. This method works at whatever age the adult really is.

This book looks like it will work for my youth treatment clients that have dealt with rape, sexual assault & other sexual related cases. Something to help them work thru their trauma hand-in-hand with individual, group and trauma therapy/counseling.

Really meant for someone who has not yet sought help yet. I was looking for something that could supplement my counselling and unfortunately this wasn't it.

I've got this book for my daughter who's recently been sexually assaulted and I'm hopeful that it will help her to deal with this horrific event and lead her to the right help the books is simple to follow without patronising the reader
