I used it 2 times but haven't plugged it into the charger since I unpacked this product and it's been more then 1 month. Lol ... Build quality looks premium... Metal body... It Works good... You can go for it...

I purchased the VGR V-071 last week based on good reviews and the promise of a close trim. While the trimmer looks premium and feels well-built, my actual usage experience was rather disappointing. The blades are extremely close and quite harsh on the skin when used without comb attachments. During direct use, i experienced significant skin irritation and minor bleeding, especially in sensitive and wrinkled areas such as underarms and under the chin while shaping the beard. This has never happened with my Panasonic trimmer, which i have been using for many years under similar conditions. Although the close blade design may appeal to users looking for a very tight trim, this trimmer does not seem suitable for direct skin contact without combs, particularly on areas where the skin is not flat or is prone to folds. The comb attachments themselves also feel average in quality and could have been sturdier. On the positive side, the look, feel, motor sound, and overall build quality are good, and the trimmer gives a strong, solid impression. However, due to the blade aggression, I would not recommend using it directly on the skin, especially on sensitive areas. Verdict : Good design and power, but blade sharpness makes it risky for direct skin use. Best used only with combs and caution.
