I am a layperson, not an EMT, paramedic, etc. I recently took a TCCC class. I purchased this book afterwards. I am still reading through it but it seems to be consistent with everything taught in the class. Seems to be up to date. It is concise and the formatting is good. Text size could be a little bit larger but I don't find it uncomfortable to read. While I like and would recommend this book, I suggest you also read the reviews from credentialed medical professionals to see what they think. Finally, while a good book is better than nothing, definitely get classroom and/or field training from a qualified source if at all possible.

This was a birthday gift for younger brother who's interested in survival and preparedness. I skimmed through it before I wrapped it, it seems like great info. I think I'll eventually buy a copy forHe liked it a lot, and started reading it immediately.
