Impressed • Long lasting
These types of batteries have come a long way. I ran an external monitor (Atomos Ninja V) that has a removable SSD hard drive for recording video directly to the unit for around an hour and my battery was still at 77%. I also love being able to charge it on the USB-C and having a digital read out. Really happy with this purchase.

Last longer and give me a better display than my Sony L series. No brainer.

Works to Power Camera Monitors. However the Usb A port cannot power a 12v camera (like the BMPCC 6K)
I've been using the Powerextra NP-F970 Multifunctional Battery Pack (10050mAh) for a few weeks now, primarily to power my monitor, and it works amazingly well. The battery's high capacity ensures that my monitor stays powered for extended periods without needing frequent recharges. The LCD display is a nice touch, providing a clear readout of the remaining battery life, which helps me plan my shoots better. The USB output is another handy feature, allowing for the charging of smaller devices. However, as a side note, I attempted to use the USB port to power my Blackmagic 6K camera, but it couldn’t handle the 12V requirement. While it’s excellent for monitors and other lower-power devices, it’s not suited for high-power demands like a 12V camera. As I bought it thinking it would power both camera and monitor its a bit unfortunate. Mabye the seller can state the wattage output so that others don't get misinformed.Overall, this battery pack is a reliable and efficient power solution for various devices, though it’s essential to match the power requirements for optimal performance.

awesome, definitely worth the extra $$
I bought a pair of (claimed) 8800mAh batteries and they were quite a bit cheaper than the Powerextra batteries. My 8800mAh batteries lasted for about 2.5 hours in my light set (GVM 1200D) so I was pretty happy with that. But they were very basic and lacked the extra functionality of these batteries. So after dithering around for a bit I decided to take the plunge and pay the extra $ for these. I am super glad that I did because these batteries blow me away. The screen is more useful than you might expect, the ability to charge them using a standard USB charger is a major plus. But what really blew my socks off is that in the same light set I got nearly 6 hours of full power light. that is slightly more than twice what the so-called 8800mAh batteries delivered. One CON: though, I bought 4 of them and 3 of them work perfectly, but one of them is very finicky about charging, it only charges via USB and it takes longer to charge. so semi-defective but usable. not sure what the warranty covers.

A Must-Have for My Camera Gear
I’ve been using the Powerextra NP-F970 Multifunctional Battery Pack for a few months now, and it has been a total game-changer for my shoots. This battery pack has quickly become an essential piece of equipment in my kit, especially for long filming sessions.High Capacity & Long-Lasting:The 10050mAh capacity is fantastic. I can use it to power my Sony NP-F970, NP-F975, NP-F960, NP-F950, and NP-F930 batteries for extended periods without worrying about running out of power. It lasts significantly longer than my standard batteries, which is crucial when I'm filming on location or in situations where I can't easily swap out batteries.USB Output & LCD Display:The built-in USB output is incredibly convenient, allowing me to charge other devices like my phone or tablet directly from the battery pack. The LCD display is also a great feature—it shows the remaining charge, so I always know when it’s time to recharge, and I can plan accordingly during shoots.Versatility for Video Equipment:I primarily use this battery pack with my video light, and it works perfectly. The output is stable, and I haven’t experienced any issues with power fluctuations or instability during extended use. The added bonus of being able to use it for other devices just makes it even more valuable.Build Quality & Portability:The build quality is solid and reliable, which gives me confidence that it will hold up during long shoots. Despite its high capacity, it’s still relatively lightweight and compact, so I don’t mind carrying it along with my other gear. Conclusion:For anyone who uses Sony NP-F batteries or needs reliable, long-lasting power for their video equipment, the Powerextra NP-F970 Multifunctional Battery Pack is an absolute must. It offers incredible value, is durable, and the added features like USB charging and the LCD display are fantastic. It’s become a key part of my filming gear, and I highly recommend it!

Big Ol' Sony-style Battery
I bought this for a Ninja V recording monitor. It easily lasts all day in a run-and-gun video shooting situation. The display is a nice feature for keeping track of the power available. It charges off any USB power source. The only downside is that it's physically large - no way around that - and I worry about the load on the monitor. That said, I haven't seen any problems.
