Bond Manufacturing 52066 65,000 BTU Natural Gas Conversion Kit

This worked perfectly for concerting our fire table from Costco over to natural gas. The valve (pictured) does not need to be changed out, but no big deal, now I have a spare.Very happy to have endless fuel for our table now!

This kit does not fit the Bond 65,000 fire pit available at Costco in 2024 - Item 1713432. This information has been confirmed by Bond/GHP Group technical support.There are two primary issues encountered:1. The propane gas valve installed in the fire pit features a different configuration than the natural gas valve included in the kit. Specifically, the gas outlet for the propane gas valve possesses a female threaded connector with a 90-degree brass pipe screwed into it, where the gas orifice is affixed to the other end of this pipe. Conversely, the natural gas valve provided with the kit features a male threaded gas outlet connector.2. The propane gas orifice's threaded diameter, where it screws into the aforementioned pipe, is approximately half the threaded diameter of the natural gas orifice supplied with the kit. To clarify, this difference does not pertain to the gas opening size; rather, the propane and natural gas orifices are engineered to screw into dissimilarly sized pipes/connectors.On a positive note, the kit did come with all of the pieces.

Works on the 2023 Bond fire pit from Costco. (See picture).This is a drop in conversion to natural gas. Very high quality hardware. Between the fire pit purchase and this conversion, all in $370, this is about 1/3 the price of any other natural gas pit I’ve found. Very, VERY satisfied.

Firstly. These are parts that your Bond fire pit already has. There are really two parts that are necessary. The burner nipple adaptor 12mm… and the “burner cover” (you cover the air gap that LPG requires and NG does not. All the other parts are either redundant or specific (the quick disconnect hose). The Bond 65k btu unit I have from Costco got extremely loud (not whistle-y). LOUD from the needed additional flow that NG required (it’s less flammable than LPG). So much noise and less flame too! Wasted soooooooook much time.I would say that if you want a NG fire pit you really need something that isn’t essentially a hollow shell with a burner and lava rocks on top. You need something split that will deaden that NG flow needed to burn (I think it’s 3-4x that of propane…).

Got this kit for my fire table and have been enjoying fire without thinking propane refill ever again. Installation was a breeze.

Easy instruction all the top notch quality parts needed, installation was relatively easy, need to turn the fire pit over (a two man job) to get access to the hoses. Make sure there is thick cardboard oe padding to ensure not to scratch the fire pit.

I buy a new Bond firepit from Costco and then get this kit FROM BOND. My plumber says it doesn't even fit. I called Bond and they told me they were a company that bought Bond and that no conversion kit would be made for that new fire pit. So all a waste of time. Buy from a company that has EVERYTHING in the firepit package.
