Had a Disconnection Issue
These controllers are a perfect match for the real Nintendo Joy Cons in size and shape. I've tried them in several accessories, and they always fit perfectly. This is important for my kids since if one controller is worse than the others, I have to hear them fight over who gets it!They are a little lighter and don't feel as sturdy, but we've had no problems with gameplay*. I thought for a little while that there was a slight delay in the buttons, but then I tested them against the Nintendo Joy Cons and everything was perfectly in sync, no delay at all (or at least they have the same delay as the Nintendo ones if there is one).* One major issue is that the left controller disconnects all the time. Even when that person is sitting closest to the console. None of the other controllers disconnect, even when being used farther away. We've had no disconnection issues with the right controller, only the left one.I have reached out to support, and will change this rating based on their response. For now, I'm considering just returning these and buying from a different company, but I want to give ViveFox a chance to defend themselves and/or make it right. After all, the true measure of a company is not how many times they get it exactly right, but how they respond when things go wrong.EDIT: 5 days later. Not even a response from support. Lowering my rating to one star. Will probably exchange them for a new pair this week to try my luck againEDIT: 7 days after review. I also left a one-star review for the seller after I could not contact the manufacturer, and the seller responded quickly and is offering to work with me. We'll see how that plays out.EDIT: Final: So, the seller was great and sent me a replacement. I'm leaving this at 4 stars though because if you get it from a different seller, your experience might be different. It's a risk, some of the controllers are perfect, others hae issues. Check the seller reviews to make sure they stand behind the product, because VIVEFOX, the manufacturer does NOT. They still haven't gotten back to me.

Rumble is WAY too strong, or it's off. No in-between.
I liked these at first, even though the left joycon kept slipping off the switch. The joycons themselves look really nice, and the analog sticks feel alright. Over time, though, the buttons became a little less responsive, at least the B button. Today, the right joycon began having issues staying connected while connected to the Switch, though it's not slipping off like the left joycon. I'm not really able to play games consistently now.My biggest issue, though, is the rumble. It's TOO strong. In Legends of Arceus, the controllers are supposed to softly rumble as you ride a mount while it runs, with the rumbling fading out over a few seconds of running. With these joycons, they feel like they are on FULL vibration the whole time. My hands genuinely get numb from it. In Okami, Amaterasu's paw steps feel like thuds. In Animal Crossing, catching a fish quakes my whole desk if my switch is lying on it. In any game, the vibration is either extremely strong or off; the rumbling doesn't have any variation to it. I've witnessed similar issues with all of my games that use the rumble feature at all.The joysticks never drifted, though, which is a huge plus. I'll still take slippery connections and far-too-strong rumble over drifting any day, to be completely honest.

Seems good so far. (P.S: If packaging is wrong, check inside before calling customer service.)
I ordered a set of neon pink/green joycons and ended up with a box showing red and blue. Thinking that I got the wrong set, I went to customer service to report it. Fortunately, I had enough foresight to check the box in time before I would "escalate" it. Otherwise, I probably would have to wait another two days to get the correct item, even though I technically already have it.I'm not sure if it's Amazon's or the manufacturer's fault for packaging the item incorrectly, but it can confuse buying customers. That being said, I'll own up to the fact that I simply made a gaffe by not checking the box before going to Amazon support. Like the title of this review, I'd advise anyone purchasing this to check the box for the correct set of joycons before jumping to conclusions like I did.Now to the actual review! These joycons are nearly identical to Nintendo's, albeit a little lighter. Pressing the buttons and triggers are noticeably louder compared to Nintendo's tactile sounding buttons and triggers. As a mechanical keyboard user, I like the clicks and clacks, so it's fine by me. The analog sticks are concave, which isn't too big a deal since I use Xbox controllers often but can be a deal-breaker for some. I do wish more third-party joycons adopt convex analog sticks though.I really like the design of these joycons, from the stripes to the shape of the home button. Speaking of shapes, these have no curve to their bottoms, which is great since I can actually fit them alongside my Switch with the slim carrying case I got. Don't get me wrong; I got no beef with curved joycons. They're probably better in terms of ergonomics and I own a pair, in fact. However, since I travel long commutes to work and in general, I would prefer joycons that can fit into my Switch carrying case. These are just my first impressions of the Vivefox joycon replacements, so I'll update this if need be.
