Great Strap
Great little strap. It's soft and comfortable and feels very strong. The only improvement I'd make would be a slightly larger quick release clip that's easier to unclip with one hand. This one requires you to get the tips of your fingers on the little prongs and to squeeze very tightly to release. Not too hard to do with two hands, but since you've typically got a camera strapped to the wrist wearing the strap, it can be a bit tough to use both hands at the same time. BUT, these are the same little clips I already have mounted to my camera, which allows me to interchange straps and unclip from a neck strap in order to just use the wrist strap, etc. so I do like that the clips are compatible with other OP/Tech quick disconnect clips. In the end, I rarely switch back and forth between strap setups so I prefer that these little clips are small, unobtrusive, and slightly difficult to unclip because I never fear that my camera will disconnect without a concentrated effort. By the way, two small quick disconnects can fit into a single eyelet on an OM-D E-M10 body without using the stock key ring strap mounts. I feel this is a smoother surface for those little 1.5mm cords to be rotating against all the time.

Comfortable, Inexpensive, and Functional
This strap is a comfortable and affordable way to add in a little extra measure of safety when handling your point-and-shoot or light mirrorless camera (the suggested weight limit is 2.5 lbs). You just attach the strap to one of the available mount points on your camera and you've instantly got a wrist strap that will allow you to snugly hold on while still having plenty of maneuverability to manipulate dials, knobs, and buttons. It's light, too, so it won't really add any noticeable weight to the overall camera. The strap is detachable with a snap release mechanism, but quite frankly, I'm not really sure why I would need (or want) that. More usable is the slider that allows you to cinch the strap to your wrist (all camera straps should have this feature!). You can get the strap in all kinds of colors if you like, but you can also go with standard black if you don't want any additional attention. For the price, it is quite a bargain, and seems well made.

Good strap for full day use but neoprene has some drawbacks
I bought this strap to "test" it against a leather wrist strap (much more costly) that I have on a point and shoot (DMC LX5). I installed this neoprene one on a DMC LX7. I have used it in four seasons, all kinds of weather, and in a number of different countries. My preference is for an unobtrusive strap and camera as possible, and so I purchased a black version of the OP/TECH strap. The strap did not seem to draw any unwanted attention when it was in use around my wrist and attached to my camera. The quality of the strap is very high. The neoprene is not too thick and is soft and pliable enough to be easy to slip a hand through, even with a glove on. The strap can be disconnected from the camera using a small click lock and I was initially concerned about the possibility of the click lock becoming inadvertently disengaged, leaving the camera to free fall at some inopportune moment. I have not had any such experience in the past several months of use. In fact I have not used the disconnect feature very much, but it's there if you need it. I suppose the safest way to use this strap is to fit it onto your wrist, without the camera attached, and then once it is on your wrist and adjusted, attach the camera. This can be a bit tricky to do using just one hand. The lanyard that loops through the camera lug is quite strong and has not shown any signs of wear or fraying after several months of use. The strap is very soft and comfortable on the wrist. I typically have my camera cupped in my hand, palm facing backward, when walking in cities and towns, with the camera not very visible to someone approaching me from the front or side. In this mode, the strap can be around my wrist for hours at a time. As such, when the weather is warm, the neoprene can be a bit warm around the wrist if you have the strap semi-snugged (there's an adjustable plastic slider that can snug the strap around your wrist to prevent it from slipping off). My leather strap is much narrower, so not as much of a heat band, and as leather will absorb an perspiration, can feel more comfortable in similar circumstances. I have not noticed any odor from the neoprene, even when sweaty, and if there was, it is easy enough to soap up and rinse off as the neoprene itself does not absorb any water. The neoprene is more pliable than my leather strap is, even thought I have used the leather strap much more, prior to getting this neoprene one, so you might think that it would have softened up over time and use, which it has compared to when it was new, but it is still not as soft as the neoprene strap. Each has advantages and disadvantages - minor at that. I would certainly purchase another one of these straps for use with a point and shoot.

Perfect Camera Strap!
I've used these for several years and they're on each of my camera bodies. Great product!

Perfect for my Canon!
I have both a PowerShot G1X and a PowerShot G12. These cameras are larger than most point-and-shoot models, especially the G1X. It's bigger and heavier than many compact mirrorless cameras and is designed to be used with a neck strap. But I have some physical limitations that prevent my hanging a weight from my neck or shoulders. Also, both of these models have a vari-angle LCD, and neck straps just really get in the way when the LCD is folded out. The OP/TECH USA strap is sturdy and able to carry the weight of heavier equipment. The neoprene loop is padded and comfortable around my wrist, and the slider makes customizing the loop a snap so it fits my wrist perfectly. Oh, and there's the snap-apart feature which makes removing the wrist loop a breeze, and only a short "pigtail" is all that's left on the camera. Reattaching the strap doesn't require threading it back through the eyelet on the camera--it's pretty fuss-free. OP/TECH makes several system straps that could be attached to the pigtail, and I may check into one of them later for use with the G1X. But for now I'm a very happy shutterbug.

Liked it so much I bought another one - UPDATED in 2018
UPDATE on October 27, 2018: I seem to have bought 3 of these straps since 2011. I've lost track of one in the meantime - it may have been on a camera I sold - so I recently ordered another one, this time the polka-dot version. I no longer own the cameras mentioned in my 2011 review and 2012 update. Now one of the straps - black - is on a Panasonic FZ1000 , and the new polka-dot one is on a Sony RX100 III . I'm uploading a photo of them. These are sturdy straps. I wouldn't purposely dangle the cameras from the strap, although I've done it as a test (over a well-padded sofa seat). They provide some security when I'm using the camera; if I lose my grip there's a good chance the camera won't crash to the ground. Original review, edited for brevity: I had a neck/shoulder strap on my Olympus XZ-1 I didn't like it. So I ordered this strap. I attached it to my XZ-1 and I like it a lot. This strap feels secure on my wrist when carrying the camera. And unlike the shoulder strap, there's not a long length of strap material to mess with when you're carrying the camera in a bag and reaching in to get it. EDITED on February 19, 2012: Last week I fell for a great deal on the Kodak EasyShare Z990 with 30x Optical Zoom . I got another one of these wrist straps for the new camera, and I like it. Even if a much less substantial strap might hold either of these lightweight digicams, this one is sturdy and comfortable.

Op/Tech Camera Strap
Nothing is more frustrating than having your regular camera strap in the way while working from a tripod. That is why I purchased this strap. Not only is it shorter and less likely to get in the way, you can easily detach the strap using the quick release catch further eliminating the problem. I use this on my Canon G9 which though it isn't as small as most point & shot it is a lot smaller the DSLRs and using this strap makes it easier to slip the camera in a big pocket without fussing with a long neck strap. The only hesitation I have is that the material for the strap portion is not made of leather and you don't have that secure feeling knowing your camera is not going to break loose under demanding circumstances. Fear not. this strap is strong enough for my G9 or similar size camera and may even be strong enough for a full size DSLR less any vertical grip attached. This strap is less likely to slip off your wrist and has an adjustment that will give you a tighter fit allowing use of both hands doing something else as long as the hand is in close proximity to the strap of course. Not suited for interchangeable lens cameras
I purchased this cam strap for my Olympus Pen F and I definitely do not feel confident that the mini clip and tether are robust enough to safely suspend its weight (includes a 12-40 pro lens). I also found the mini clip too small and cumbersome to easily detach from the strap; one is basically required to remove their hand from the strap while holding the camera precariously in the other to separate the connection. This serious design flaw defeats the purpose of having a detachable strap / tether - at least on a Pen F or similar. IMHO, this strap is best suited for small point and shoot (fixed lens) type cameras; I don't recommend it for interchangeable lens bodies. I went ahead and purchased the OP/Tech DSLR strap for my Pen F and while the bracelet portion is a bit on the thick side, it serves the purpose of safely securing my camera with room to spare.
