DD-WRT - Netgear WNDR3700 GIGABIT Router VPN AP Repeater Bridge Dual Band WiFi Wireless-N N Ready [DD-WRT PREINSTALLED]

This router came "bricked" to me, seller didn't offer much help. I could not login to interface with the router's settings. Luckily, I found wiki article to unbrick the router but it took about 5 times of resetting using the 30/30/30 hard reset and alternating with recovery mode (factory reset). Now, using the original Netgear wndr3700v1 firmware, it's working well, and I don't think I will try DD-WRT.

I could not get it to accept a new user/password update even after 5 router resets. Hence, was unable to configure a VPN or anything else with it. The seller responded by emailing back a guide that is useless if the router doesn't accept your initial login/password change attempts.
