Serpentine (Alex Delaware Book 36)
D**.
Extremely Entertaining.
Another page Turner with Dr Alex playing an unusually detailed and pivotal role in solving this complicated cold case. The chemistry between Alex and Milo has never been better. Highly recommend Serpentine to all Dr Alex Delaware fans.

Very much the usual but fine for that.
I have read many of this series and generally enjoy them. This was no exception; they are somewhat formulaic, but at times, no-challenge reading is what I want. This was very much the usual Alex and Milo outing but not necessarily bad for that. I liked the plot, which mostly kept the direct violence at arm’s length and was suitably convoluted. One of the perpetrators was fairly obvious but again, not necessarily a bad thing. In some ways, the formula does make for repetition but I guess if one hits a winning streak, why not continue until sales dwindle and I suspect there are enough fans to prevent that currently. I may well order the next one if I feel in need of a reasonably well-written, no surprises but engaging crime fiction.

Mr Kellerman never fails to delight
Each and every book in the Alex Delaware series holds a reader's attention in both writing style and plot. This is a particularly intricate plot, twists and turns round a myriad of intriguing, but easy to follow, routes. Throw in the mix of Police Lieutenant and Psychologist interaction, their humour, brain power, and you have two very different heroes tracking down the perpetrator, false leads aplenty. What's not to love?

Same old same old story!
My how these books have changed since the beginning of the Alex Delaware series when they were usually a gripping thriller full of tension and drama that was usually centred around Alex’s work as a psychologist where Milo was brought in to help him, now they all seem to be about Milo bringing in Alex and I’m finding that formula incredibly boring, which is a great shame as Jonathan Kellerman is a great writer. It seems to me that the author has a set draft and then just changes the odd name here or there and that it’s possible that he’s completely bored with the whole thing. We hear all about Milo’s penchant for food, the bad clothes the repeated dry face washing, Robin is in the workshop, the driving up and down the canyon! It’s all be done before, sorry! I’m afraid I need more.

great storyline
Another amazing book from Jonathan Kellerman. Impossible cold case solved by Milo and his “partner” Alex with everything neatly tied up at the end.

Love Milo and Alex
I always look forward to JK's new book, and have read almost al of them. This was good, as usual ,but I found I didn't get "into " it as much as I normally do. I enjoyed it and it waa very cleverly told but I felt there was something missing this time.Hence the 4 stars.
