It is more comfortable for ears than original. I was surprised with more noise reduction. Highly recommended

I have always enjoyed the plugin and play simplicity of the headsets that PlayStation have offered over the years. I have used the original pulse headset for PS3 as well as the golds on PS4. I enjoy the sound but I could never get over the discomfort of wearing them. After a few hours my ears would always get too warm and the pleather earcups were too shallow I found. I picked up a pair of the pulse 3d headphones at launch and found them to be uncomfortable after an hour or two of gameplay. I had looked at maybe selling them before coming across these. They are easy to apply once you remove the original earcups and are instantly more comfortable. The fabric on the portion of the earcups that touches your head is much softer than the base earcups and the cooling gel definitely works as well. If you're finding the base earcups on the pulse headphones uncomfortable then I would definitely recommend these. I'm very happy with the purchase!
