Onyx 135600-701-999-12 Rearming Kit - Automatic in-Sight , Red , 24 gram

To help those looking for a rearming system for the West Marine Coastal vest utilizing the 24 gram CO2 with the Halkey-Roberts V86000 system, this is the unit you need. I couldn't find one on Amazon that specifically stated fitment but recognized this as the correct components. I took my chances and just received it and rearmed my Coastal Vest that has activated TWICE now due to heat exposure while stored in a compartment on the boat. Frustrating! It was going to cost me over $45 to have one shipped from West Marine so this is a great deal, especially when they activate for no good reason other than environmental conditions. It has the correct yellow bobbin with over 3 year shelf life and has the correct Leland brand CO2 cartridge and fitting. I'm back in business for half the price! Note: I believe SOME Coastal vests require a 33g CO2. My Coastal is circa 2012 and the bladder is stamped 24g so this might be for older units. Check to make sure you are using the correct CO2 capacity, it's important!

It was easy to install and has worked properly since replacing the old canister. The only drawback is how expensive it is for a refill. Luckily you don’t got through them fast!

I had a life vest and fell in the water. It blew up faster than a Washington political scandal. And it was just about as embarrassing too. So I bought this kit to put the vest back In operation and covered up my embarrassment just like a professional. So if you get in over your head in deep water use this kit to get back in the action. Super easy!

This item has a 1/2 inch screw top and fits and works with West Marine Coastal Life Jacket year 2022. You need to remove the plastic cap on top by turning it counterclockwise with a wrench to get to the 1/2 inch screw top. Saves you about $10 if you ordered a similar part shipped from West Marine. Have used this before with no issues

It worked great. Had to get a new recharge after my jacked was rained on very heavily and auto inflated. Went out kayaking and tipped over in 1 ft of water while getting out, auto inflated again. Time to buy another, haha.
