Perler Sunny Days Bright Color Fuse Bead Bucket, 5500 pcs

My kids have been using the Perler Sunny Days Bright Color Fuse Bead Bucket, and I am so impressed! After trying beads from other brands, this set is by far the best. The colors are incredibly vibrant, and the beads hold up perfectly after ironing, leaving smooth, beautiful designs every time. This product is fun, easy to use and was pretty mich what I expected. I have never used these beads before but have seen what other people have made from them. I have been trying to find arts and crafts projects to keep my daughter engaged in activities that do not involve the television or video gaming. She is three and her 12 year old brother already has her hooked on minecraft. While mindcraft is a better video game that encourages you to create I wanted her to create things using her hands. This product is great for that. They give you some blank patterns and you can color them in by placing the dots on either by using your hands or the tweezers included. She is young so I did need to help her with some of the pegs and of course I had to do the ironing however she really got into the project and together we made a colorful butterfly. Now she is only three as I mentioned and this was a little old for her but bought it knowing I would have to help her. I don't set her up with projects and walk away. (Except during the dinner prep rush) I like to sit with her and do projects with her. Bonding time and all that. So if you are looking for a good project for kids to do on there own I would not recommend it for kids as young as mine. However if you plan to help them it was a great project. It will challenge there hand-eye coordination. That's a very positive thing. The goal of arts and crafts and most other toys is to challage there bodies and minds to they can learn a new skill. If we keep buying toys that are at or below there skill level they don't learn much. Each time we have sat down to use them (three times total) she has improved on her ability to put the dots where she wants them. And for parents who have never used them. It was a sinch. Very easy. I'm the kind of person who always has to throw away the first pancake if you will but not this time. The first melted creation came out flawless.

Bucket includes 3 pegboards(2 flowers and 1 butterfly), 5500 beads, 1 plastic tweezer tool, ironing papers, instructions, and a resealable tub with handle to store it all in. Colors of beads include pinks, greens, blues, white, orange, yellow and purple. There are not any bright or dark (black, brown) colors. My kids were very happy using the colors included in this bucket for the flower and butterfly pegboards. The beads can be a bit tedious to place on the pegboards. 6+ is appropriate for this toy. One of my kids wasn't ready for this size of bead until closer to 8. Now at 7 & 10, they create with these beads for hours at a time. The 10 year old can iron the beads but the 7 year old still requires help. They also need help moving the pegboards from their work table to the ironing board. If hands aren't steady while transporting the unfused beads, they tend to fall off the board. Overall, this is a great craft and this bucket it a great value.

My 5yr old started doing perler beads at school and really likes it. I bought her this for the holidays and it’s been great. She likes the bead colors and board shapes that were included. It kept her occupied for a good hour and she’s so proud of the creative designs she comes up with. It would make a great birthday party gift.

This is one of my grandkids favorite sets. The cupcake alone is worth it.

Great for gifting. Seems like they could put a few more beads in the bucket but we like that this is an all in one item that includes all the pieces you need for the kids to make something special.

Such a fun activity for kids! These encourage creativity and are functional for kids to use to create a masterpiece.
