Anita, this is a fairly large shade so you will need a good, stable base lamp to put this shade on or else it might tip over. Also it is long, so you will need a tall enough lamp as well. A floor lamp would probably work well. Though, hanging it from a ceiling pendant light works best. It's a lovely lamp shade.
